Central Dir District is a district in the Malakand Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. On 23 January 2022, the Provincial Government carved out a new district Central Dir from the Upper Dir district territory. The area is largely composed of Malizai clan of Yousafzai.

The district consists of five tehsils, namely Akhagram Karo, Larjum, Nehag Dara, Sahib Abad and Wari Tehsil. [1] [2]

Larjum and Wari are old tehsils, while Akhagram Karo, Nehag Dara and Sahib Abad were created along with the new district.

The Lower Dir district was formed in 1996, when Dir District was divided into Upper Dir and Lower Dir districts. On 22 January 2023, both Lower Dir and Upper Dir districts were further bifurcated to create a new Central Dir District. Lower Dir is famous for its beautiful snow-capped mountains, valleys, and pleasant weather. The primary industry in Lower Dir is tourism, which is now rapidly growing.

Located on the left bank of the Indus River, Matiari became an independent district in 30 May 2004 under the military regime of Pervez Musharraf, when Hyderabad was divided into four districts — Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Tando Mohammad Khan and Hyderabad.

Kunduz District is situated in the center of Kunduz Province in Northern Afghanistan, around the provincial capital - the city of Kunduz. It borders Chahar dara District to the west, Qalay-I-Zal and Imam Sahib districts to the north, Archi and Khan Abad districts to the east and Ali abad District to the south. The population is 254,100 (2006). The roads are good and all the villages are accessible. There is an airport 8 km South-East from the city.
The agriculture is a major source of income and the land is in very good condition and most of it irrigated. There are other business activities also and the rate of unemployed people is lower than the other districts in the province.
