Civil Defence Training Institute is a disaster management institute situated in the City of Thrissur in Kerala state of India. The institute is set up for giving training in disaster management for officials and civilians across Kerala. The institute is set up in eight acres of land and will have lecture halls, hostels and library facilities. [1] [2] [3]

Thrissur, originally Thri Siva Peroor and previously known by its anglicised form as Trichur, is the third largest city, the third largest urban agglomeration in Kerala and the 20th largest in India.Also known as the cultural capital of Kerala. One of the main cultural events in Thrissur includes Thrissur Pooram, which attracts quite a number of tourists and travellers.

The Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI) is a research organisation based in Peechi, in Thrissur, India. The Institution was established in 1975 by the Government of Kerala as part of its Science and Technology Department, and in 2003 became part of the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE). KFRI carries out research, training and extension on a range of disciplines related to tropical forests and forestry. Besides its main campus at Peechi in Thrissur District, a KFRI Sub-Centre has been established at Nilambur and a Field Research Centre at Palapilly, Thrissur District.The main campus situated on the Thrissur- Peechi road has the main administrative offices, Research Divisions, laboratories, nurseries, greenhouses, museums, Guest houses and also the Kerala Forest Seed Centre. The Sub-Centre at Nilambur has the Teak Museum and the Bio- resources Nature Trail that attracts a large number of visitors.The Field Research Center has the KFRI Bambusetum with a collection of 65 species of tropical bamboo, an arboretum and the Bamboo Primary Processing Centre.

Thrissur railway station is a railway station in Kerala, India. Thrissur Railway Station is a major railway head in South India and A1 classified station operated by the Southern Railway zone of the Indian Railways and comes under the Thiruvananthapuram railway division. It is the busiest railway station in Kerala state in terms of rail traffic with 196 halting trains. Kerala Fire and Rescue Services Academy

Kerala Fire and Rescue Services Academy is situated in Ramavarmapuram in Thrissur city, Kerala of India. The academy is the only official fire training institution for the Kerala Fire And Rescue Services.
