Codonoboea is a genus of flowering plants in the family Gesneriaceae. It includes 129 species which range from Myanmar and Thailand through northern Malesia (Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, Sulawesi, the Philippines, and Maluku) to New Guinea. [1]

Many of its species were formerly placed in the genus Henckelia . [2]

The type species C. urticifolia was assigned to the genus Henckelia as H. urticifolia(Buch.-Ham. ex D. Don.) A. Dietr.
