Daniel de los Reyes (born July 18, 1962) is an American percussionist [1] [2] who is a former member of Earth, Wind & Fire and Chicago. He is currently a member of the Zac Brown Band. [3] [4] [5]
De los Reyes was born in New York City and raised in Puerto Rico and Las Vegas. He is of Cuban and Puerto Rican descent. He received early drum instruction from his father, Walfredo Reyes, Sr. His grandfather, Walfredo de los Reyes II, was one of the founding members of the Cuban orchestra Casino de la Playa. [6] He is also an alumnus of Valley High School in the Las Vegas town of Winchester. [7]
De los Reyes's first work as a drummer was for actor and singer Ben Vereen. In 1997, he played on Steve Winwood's album Junction Seven and Yanni's live recording Tribute; performed with Ricky Martin at the 1999 and 2000 Grammy Awards; [4] and played on Philip Bailey's 2002 LP Soul on Jazz. He appeared on Earth, Wind & Fire's album The Promise (2003), on Devoted Spirits: A Tribute to Earth Wind and Fire (2004), [3] and on the Jimi Hendrix tribute album Power of Soul (2004).
He appeared at a 2004 benefit show in honour of late Billboard magazine editor Timothy White, where he performed alongside Don Henley, Sting, Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffett, Roger Waters, Sheryl Crow, James Taylor, Brian Wilson and Jennifer Lopez. Reyes was featured on Peter Frampton's LP Fingerprints (2006), The Killers album Day & Age (2008), and Brandon Flowers's debut album Flamingo (2010). [3]
He became a member of country music group the Zac Brown Band in 2012, with whom he was nominated for two Grammy Awards, winning one. [1] [8] [6] He appeared as a guest on Chicago's 2018 tour. [5]

His entertainment company, DrumJungle, Inc., produces the "Rhythm Evolution!" show. He is the inventor of the "Practice Pro Pad" and LP "One Shot Shaker" musical devices. [1] [6]

Walfredo Reyes Jr. is a Cuban American musician who is an expert in drum set and auxiliary percussion, and a music educator and clinician. He has performed with many jazz, Latin, World music, World fusion, Afro-Cuban, and rock bands as a touring, session recording, and full-time player/performer. Reyes is known for his fusion of many of the world's percussion techniques, including the ability to play a drum set with his hands in addition to the traditional use of drumsticks; it was said that he can "sound like a drummer and a percussionist at the same time" He was a long-term member of Santana. He was also a member of Chicago as the percussionist from 2012 to 2018, at which point he took over the drum seat. He also performed in the band of former Nazareth guitarist Manny Charlton.
Walfredo de los Reyes Sr. is a Cuban percussionist, timbalero, and educator, in the fields of session recording, live performance, and clinics. He is the father of famed percussionists Walfredo Reyes Jr. and Daniel de los Reyes and of actor Kamar de los Reyes. He is often cited as one of the most influential modern timbaleros together with Tito Puente and Willie Bobo.

The 2020 Latin Grammy ceremony was anchored from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, though the health protocols enacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic meant there was no live audience in the venue, and performances were presented from remote locations from many parts of the world. The telecast marked the 21st anniversary of the Latin Grammy Awards and honored musical releases within Latin music released from June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2020.
