Directorate of Technical Education and Training (DTET) is an education and training body in the state of Odisha. It is an autonomous institution of the State Government of Odisha. It is affiliated with the Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGET), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training (SCTE & VT).

DTET had its campus at Killa Maidan, Buxi Bazar, Cuttack. The current director[ when? ] is Reghu G., IAS.

Since 1977, DTET shared its admission procedure and syllabus for various diploma courses and industrial training in various engineering and non-engineering trades in the state with DGET, AICTE, and SCTE & VT. [1]

Majhighariani Institute of Technology and Science is located in Rayagada, Odisha, India. It was started in 1999 by the Basantdevi Charitable Trust. Its name came from the Goddess Majhighariani, deity of Rayagada. The college was approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the government of Odisha. The college is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela and Berhampur University. It is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institute of eastern India.

Mahavir Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) was established in 2001. It is spread over a 102-acre campus. It is located beside the NH-5 and about 8 km. from Bhubaneswar bus-stand towards Khurda. The college is approved by AICTE and affiliated by Biju Patnaik University of Technology. An ISO 9001:2000 Certified college but Still don't know why the pharmaceutical and B.Tech. building is closed.

State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training is located in the city of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. The board is managing the Diploma & ITI education in Orissa, which is affiliated to AICTE, New Delhi, recognized by Government of Odisha. According to SCTE & VT, there are almost 124 private and 35 state government diploma colleges in the Odisha state which include polytechnic, Diploma institutes & 637 ITI institutes, prevailing under this board, which produces skilled laborers & techno-entrepreneurial workforces for State SMEs industry.

Also it introduced a degree engineering course in 1995. But in 2012, the program was separated and renamed as Government College of Engineering, Keonjhar.

S.K.D.A.V. Government Polytechnic is a state-run co-education engineering college located in Basanti Colony of Rourkela. The Institute was originally named S.K.D.A.V Government Polytechnic for Women. It was established in the year 1967 by Sushilavati Khosla with the help of D.A.V Trust.

The Government Polytechnic, Balasore is a State Government run diploma engineering school. It is established in 2013 by the Directorate of Technical Education & Vocational Training(DTET), Orissa. It started with all the new Government Polytechnics in Orissa at a time.

The Jharsuguda Engineering School(JES), Jharsuguda is a state government run diploma engineering school established in 1955 by Government of Odisha. Currently the institution is affiliated to SCTE & VT & DTET of Orissa. It gives three year diploma courses in variety of branches of engineering. It also obeys the norms of AICTE.

The Barrister Ranjit Mohanty Group of Institution (BRM) group of Institution was established in 2000 as BRM trust for providing education in computer science for school students for Government of Odisha. Subsequently it diversified by adding engineering, management and vocational courses to its curriculum. All the courses except diploma engineering courses are affiliated with Biju Patnaik University of Technology. The diploma engineering courses are affiliated to SCTE & VT of Odisha.

The Jhadeswar Institute of Engineering & Technology(JIET), Balasore is a private run diploma engineering school established in 2009 by Jhadeswar Educational Trust. Jhadeswar Educational Trust has also have established an ITC in 2007. It is now affiliated to SCTE & VT, Odisha and also approved by AICTE.

The Institute of Textile Technology, Choudwar, Cuttack is the only institute in Orissa offering engineering course in Textile Technology. It is a Government run diploma engineering or polytechnic established in 1983 for developing the textile manpower of Orissa for the satisfying the huge demand of manpower in textile industries & for increasing textile technical knowledge of new youth for those growing industries.

Uma Charan Pattnaik Engineering School (UCPES) previously known as Berhampur Engineering School, named after the great freedom fighter and eminent parliamentarian Late Uma Charan Patnaik, was established in the year 1956. It is located in the Silk-city, at a distance of five km from the Railway Station and three km from the Bus-stand. The Industries Department, Government of Orissa, took over this institution for better management from private committee on 12 November 1958. This institution is affiliated to the State Council for Technical Education and Vocation Training (SCTE&VT) Orissa, Bhubaneswar and is under the administrative control of Director of Technical Education and training Orissa, Cuttack which comes under the Industries Department, Government of Orissa. Statue of LateUma Charan Patnaik (19.10.1902- 14.02.1961) The institution has a sprawling 49.785 acres area in Kalapuri Mouza in Khata No.16 & 27 in the name of Industries Department.

Arya College is a Group of four private Engineering Colleges located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. It focuses primarily on higher education and research in engineering and Technology. It has grown to five colleges from one catering to education in engineering, research & technology and pharmacy and with two established campuses at Kukas and Ajmer Road with over 15 academic departments & Campus size over 25 acres.

The Government Polytechnic, Bhadrak is a State Government run diploma engineering school. It is established in 2017 by the Directorate of Technical Education & Training, Odisha (DTET).
