Eagle Air is an airline based in Kampala, Uganda. It operates regional scheduled services and charter flights across East and Central Africa. [1] Its main base is Entebbe International Airport, and it also maintains a second hub at Arua Airport, in the Northern Region of the country. [2]
The airline was established in June 1994 and started operations in November 1994.
In 2006, the airline started operations to Uganda's national parks. [3] That same year, South Sudan banned Eagle Air from operations to the airport in Yei, alleging violations of the country's aviation regulations. [4]
In 2008, the airline temporarily suspended operations due to a fuel shortage in Uganda, that arose out of the political violence in Kenya, following the 2007 presidential elections. [5]
Eagle Air offers scheduled and chartered flights to domestic and certain regional destinations, including air safaris to Ugandan national parks. In addition, it offers chartered flights within the East and Central Africa Region. [6]

A 2001 Eagle Air crash in the eastern Democratic republic of the Congo, killed two Congolese rebel leaders, the Eagle Air captain, the first officer and two other individuals, for a total of six fatalities. [9]
Entebbe International Airport is the only international airport in Uganda. It is located about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) southwest of the town of Entebbe, on the northern shores of Lake Victoria. This is approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) by road south-west of the central business district of Kampala, the capital city of Uganda.
Uganda Airlines was the flag carrier of Uganda. The airline was established in May 1976, and started operations in 1977. It was headquartered in Entebbe, Wakiso District, Uganda, and operated from its hub in Entebbe International Airport.

Feeder Airlines was an airline based in Juba, South Sudan. It started operations on 2 June 2007 operating scheduled and charter services from Juba International Airport. The airline offered international flights to countries neighboring South Sudan, including Sudan and Uganda. After one of the aircraft operated by Feeder Airlines was written off after a runway excursion, the other aircraft used in Feeder Airlines was used to rename and make the brand new separate airline of South Supreme Airlines. One aircraft previously operated by Feeder Airlines is currently stored and another is not in use after damaging the aircraft in a 2012 accident. The company slogan was The Pride of South Sudan.

It is the largest ground handling company at Entebbe International Airport (IATA: EBB, ICAO: HUEN), Uganda's largest civilian and military airport, where it services at least 19 airlines, as of November 2017.
Hoima International Airport, also Kabaale International Airport, is an airport under construction in Hoima, Uganda. It is part of the infrastructure under construction as Uganda prepares to develop its nascent petroleum industry. When completed, it would be Uganda's second international airport, besides Entebbe International Airport. The new airport is expected to facilitate mobilization of equipment for construction of the Uganda Oil Refinery and assist in the development of agriculture and tourism in Uganda's Western Region.
