The Embassy of Afghanistan in Islamabad [lower-alpha 1] is the diplomatic mission of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to Pakistan.
As of 2017 [update] a new embassy was being constructed in the Diplomatic Enclave of Islamabad, to become Afghanistan's largest embassy abroad. [5] The last Afghan ambassador to Pakistan before the fall of the Islamic Republic to the Taliban was Najibullah Alikhel. [6] In July 2021, Afghanistan recalled its diplomats over allegations by Alikhel's daughter Silsila that she had been kidnapped and beaten, which Pakistan denied. In October 2021, despite not recognizing the new government, Pakistan allowed the Taliban to assign diplomats to the embassy as well as the Afghan consulates in Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta. [7]
The Embassy of Afghanistan in Moscow is the diplomatic mission of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to the Russian Federation. It is located at 42 Povarskaya Street in the Arbat district of Moscow. Following the fall of the country to the Taliban in August 2021, the embassy remained in operation as a representative of the Islamic Republic, until the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs accredited Taliban appointee Jamal Nasir Gharwal as charge d'affaires on 9 April 2022.

High Council of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (HCIEA) (Pashto: دٙ اَفغانِستان اِسلامي اِمارَت عالي شوریٰ, romanized: Də Afġānistān Islāmī Imārat Ālī Šūrā ; Dari: شُورٰایِ عٰالئِ اِمٰارَتِ اِسلٰامئِ اَفغٰانِستٰان, romanized: Šūrā-yi Ālī-yi Imārat-i Islāmī-yi Afġānistān) was a breakaway Taliban faction active in Afghanistan since 2015. The faction broke away from the Taliban in 2015 following the appointment of Akhtar Mansour as the leader of the Taliban and elected Muhammad Rasul as its leader. The faction was involved in deadly clashes with mainstream Taliban in southern and western Afghanistan, leaving scores of dead on both sides. The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan allegedly provided financial and military support to the faction, however, both the Islamic Republic and the faction denied this. Following the Taliban offensive of 2021 and the fall of Afghanistan to Taliban forces, the group dissolved, and its leaders pledged allegiance to the new government.
The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo is the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan's diplomatic mission to Japan. It is also accredited to the Philippines and Singapore. The embassy is located in Minato-ku, Tokyo. The current Afghan ambassador to Japan is Shaida Mohammad Abdali, who presented his credentials in May 2021.
