Epialtidae is a family of crabs, containing the subfamilies: [1]
The Diogenidae are a family of hermit crabs, sometimes known as "left-handed hermit crabs" because in contrast to most other hermit crabs, its left chela (claw) is enlarged instead of the right. It comprises 429 extant species, and a further 46 extinct species, making it the second-largest family of marine hermit crabs, after the Paguridae.
Tuerkayana hirtipes is a species of terrestrial crab.
The Majoidea are a superfamily of crabs which includes the various spider crabs.
Gecarcinucoidea is a superfamily of freshwater crabs. Its members have been grouped into families in various ways, with some authors recognizing families such as "Deckeniidae", "Sundathelphusidae", and "Parathelphusidae", but now only the family Gecarcinucidae is currently recognized.
The Aethridae are a family of crabs in their own superfamily, Aethroidea. It contains these genera :
Actumnus is a genus of crabs in the family Pilumnidae. Alongside the 28 extant species, it has a fossil record extending back into the Miocene.
Pseudozioidea is a superfamily of crabs, formerly treated in the Eriphioidea, Carpilioidea, Xanthoidea, Pilumnoidea and Goneplacoidea. A number of fossils from the Eocene onwards are known from the family Pseudoziidae. Eleven genera are recognised in three families:
Epialtinae is a subfamily of crabs, containing the following genera:
Grapsus is a genus of lightfoot crabs, comprising the following species:
Hemigrapsus is a genus of varunid crabs comprising thirteen species native almost exclusively in the Pacific Ocean, but two have been introduced to the North Atlantic region.
Geograpsus is a genus of crabs in the family Grapsidae, containing four extant species, and one extinct species:
Actaeodes is a genus of crabs in the family Xanthidae, containing the following species:
Cyclodius is a genus of crabs in the family Xanthidae, containing the following species:
Pilodius is a genus of crabs in the family Xanthidae, containing the following species:
Euxanthus is a genus of crabs in the family Xanthidae containing the following species:
Medaeus is a genus of crabs in the family Xanthidae, containing the following species:
Serenius is a genus of crabs in the family Xanthidae, containing the following species:
Zosimus is a genus of crabs in the family Xanthidae, containing the following species:
Cyclograpsus is a genus of crabs, containing the following species:
Inachoididae is a family of crabs originally erected by James Dwight Dana in 1852. It was not recognised as a valid family until the early 1980s. Its members closely resemble those of the family Inachidae, and the Inachoididae could be recognised as a subfamily of that family.
