Euryglossa adelaidae is a species of bee in the family Colletidae and the subfamily Euryglossinae. It is endemic to Australia. It was described in 1905 by British-American entomologist Theodore Dru Alison Cockerell. [1] [2] It was extensively synonymised in 1976 by Australian entomologist Elizabeth Exley. [3]
The species occurs in eastern Australia. The original type locality is Adelaide in South Australia. [2] [1]
The adults are flying mellivores. Flowering plants visited by the bees include Angophora , Callistemon , Eucalyptus , Leptospermum , Melaleuca and Tristania species. [2]
