Expressways in Guangdong are a major form of transportation in Guangdong province. The network consists of national expressways assigned by National Trunk Highway System [1] [2] in China and provincial expressways assigned by Guangdong Expressway system. [3] Expressways in Guangdong usually need a fare of 0.45 CNY/km (about 0.72 CNY/mile) for a private car due to the provincial standard, [4] while more needed for a larger vehicle. [5] Speed limits also vary with the type of vehicles that usually ranged from 60–120 km/h (37–75 mph).
The first expressway in Guangdong is the Guangfo Expressway, opened in 1989. In 2014, the mileage of expressways in the province exceeded 6,000 km (3,700 mi), ranking first in the country. Then it exceeded 7,000 km (4,300 mi) in 2015, reaching every county or county-level city in the region. In 2016, the construction plan completed an investment of 85 billion CNY, including 782 km of 15 new projects, 3,583 km of continued construction, and 716 km of 9 projects that were opened to traffic. As of late 2022, the network length exceeded 11,000 kilometers, reaching 11,211 km (6,966 mi), [6] ranking first in the country for 9 consecutive years, and the average network density is about 62.39 km/1000 km², also ranking first among the standard provinces in China.

The expressway network of China, with the national-level expressway system officially known as the National Trunk Highway System, is an integrated system of national and provincial-level expressways in China.
Line 7 of the Guangzhou Metro is a rapid transit line in Guangzhou and Foshan, Guangdong Province, China. It is envisioned as tangential line that runs across southeast Guangzhou and Foshan, allowing for orbital traffic between the suburbs of Shunde, Panyu and Huangpu to avoid the crowded stations in the city center. Line 7's color is ■ light green.
The Artux–Erkeshtam Expressway (Chinese: 阿图什—伊尔克什坦高速公路, Uyghur: ئاتۇش-ئەرکەشتام سۇرئەتلىك یولى), commonly referred to as the Ayi Expressway (Chinese: 阿伊高速公路) and designated G3013, is a 213.9-kilometre-long roadway (132.9 mi) in the Chinese autonomous region of Xinjiang. It connects the Artux city and Ulugqat County of Kizilsu. It's a spur route of G30.
The Pearl River Delta Metropolitan Region Intercity Railway System is a regional higher-speed rail and suburban rail network being gradually constructed in the Pearl River Delta, People's Republic of China. The project's goal is to have every major urban center in the Greater Bay Area to be within one-hour travel by rail to Guangzhou. On March 16, 2005, the State Council approved plans for a regional high-speed commuter rail network for the Jingjinji, Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta. According to the plan, by 2020, the network will have a total route mileage of about 600 kilometres (370 mi). In September 2009, the plan was expanded to 1,478 km (918 mi) of routes split up into 23 lines. In the long term vision network length will reach 1,890 km (1,170 mi) by 2030. By then the network will provide basic coverage to the Pearl River Delta region. The Suishen ICR, Guanhui ICR and Guangfozhao ICR accept Alipay, avoiding the need to purchase tickets in advance.
The Hohhot–Beihai Expressway, designated as G59 and commonly referred to as the Hubei Expressway, is an incomplete expressway in China. It is a major north–south expressway that when complete, will connect the cities of Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia, with Beihai, on the southern coast, in the autonomous region of Guangxi. The expressway was announced as one of the eleven primary north–south expressways in China's expressway network on 24 May 2013.
The Capital Area Loop Expressway is an orbital expressway encircling the city of Beijing. It is designated G95. The road was completed in December 2016. Colloquially, the road is also referred to as Beijing's 7th ring road, though only 38 km (24 mi) of the expressway runs through Beijing, compared to 38 km (24 mi) through Tianjin and 924 km (574 mi) through Hebei.
Shenzhen has an extensive transport network, including various forms of land, water and air transport.
The Shanghai–Chongqing–Chengdu high-speed railway is a high-speed rail line under construction in China. The Chinese name of the railway line, Huyurong, is a combination of the abbreviations for Shanghai, Chongqing, and Chengdu. It will run in an east-west direction largely parallel to the Yangtze River, connecting the cities of Shanghai, Nanjing, Hefei, Wuhan, Chongqing and Chengdu.
Line 22 of the Guangzhou Metro is a partially open rapid transit express line in Guangzhou with trains operating up to 160 km/h (99 mph). It runs between Panyu Square and Chentougang, passing Guangzhou South Railway Station in Panyu District, and will eventually run in a north-south direction passing Xilang and Fangcun in Liwan District. Currently, there are train attendants on board each train. In the future, trains will operate fully driverless GoA4 mode when sufficient reliability from the signaling system has been confirmed.
The Luoyang–Lushi Expressway, designated as G3615 and commonly abbreviated as Luolu Expressway, is 137.3-kilometre (85.3 mi) long national expressway in Henan, China linking Luoyang and Lushi County. This expressway is a branch of the G36 Nanjing-Luoyang Expressway.
China National Highway Network Planning (2013–2030) is a plan by the Chinese Ministry of Transport to significantly expand the China National Highways network. The plan calls for the construction of 50,000 kilometres (31,000 mi) of Expressways and 160,000 kilometres (99,000 mi) of toll-free trunk highways. The expansion plans to connect every county in China by national trunk highway, and every city with a population over 200,000 by expressway. At the publication of the plans in 2013, there were still 18 such cities that lacked an expressway connection, as well as over 900 counties not connected by trunk highways. The cost of the plan is estimated at 4.7 trillion yuan.
The G3002 Xi'an Ring Expressway is an 88 km (55 mi) long expressway ring road encircling Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi, China. It is also known as the third ring road of Xi'an, the first two being formed by the road around the city walls, and the second being a grade separated trunk road not built to expressway standards. Every section of the road is also part of a through route of the National Trunk Highway System.
