After 2021 Puducherry Legislative Assembly election, N. Rangaswamy was sworn in as Chief Minister of Puducherry on 7 May 2021. [1] [2] According to a Puducherry Gazette notification dated 25 May 2021, "the President has been pleased to appoint" A Namassivayam, K Lakshminarayanan, C Djeacoumar and A K Sai J Saravana Kumar as Ministers in the cabinet.

Three ministers from AINRC are Lakshminarayanan,Thirumurugan and Djeacoumar, while the remaining are from BJP. [3]

The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam is an Indian regional political party with great influence in the state of Tamil Nadu and the union territory of Puducherry. It is a Dravidian party founded by the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu M. G. Ramachandran (M.G.R.) at Madurai on 17 October 1972 as a breakaway faction from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam after M. Karunanidhi expelled him from the party for demanding an account as the party treasurer. The party is adhering to the policies of socialism and secularism based on the principles of C. N. Annadurai (Anna) collectively coined as Annaism by M.G.R. Natesan Krishnasamy Gounder Rangasamy is an Indian politician who is the Chief Minister of the Union Territory of Puducherry. He previously served as the chief minister from 2001 to 2006 and from 2006 to 2008 as a member of the Indian National Congress and then from 2011 to 2016 as a member of his own party, the All India N.R. Congress. He holds the record of becoming Chief Minister within three months after creating his own party and also holds the record of becoming chief minister of Puducherry for the fourth time.

The Puducherry Legislative Assembly is the unicameral legislature of the Indian union territory (UT) of Puducherry, which comprises four districts: Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahé and Yanam. Out of eight union territories of India, only three have legislatures and they are Delhi, Puducherry and Jammu and Kashmir. After delimitation shortly after its formation, the Puducherry legislative assembly has 33 seats, of which 5 are reserved for candidates from scheduled castes and 3 members are nominated by the Government of India. 30 out of 33 Members are elected directly by the people on the basis of universal adult franchise and the remaining three are nominated by the central government. These nominated members enjoy same powers as elected members of the assembly.

Currently it is part of the National Democratic Alliance led by the BJP currently the ruling party of India.

S. Chandira Priyanga is an Indian politician from All India NR Congress. In May 2016, she was elected as a member of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly from Nedungadu (constituency).

The Fifteenth Assembly of Pondicherry succeeded the 14th Assembly of Pondicherry and was constituted after the victory of National Democratic Alliance in the 2021 assembly election that was held on 6 April 2021.

Elections to the Legislative Assembly of the Indian Union Territory of Pondicherry took place in May 2006 to constitute the Twelfth Assembly of Pondicherry. The UPA alliance comprising Congress, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, Pattali Makkal Katchi and Communist Party of India has won and N. Rangasamy of Congress got elected as chief minister.

The AIADMK-led Alliance is an Indian regional political party alliance in the state of Tamil Nadu and the union territory of Puducherry led by the Dravidian party All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam founded by the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu M. G. Ramachandran (M.G.R.).
