The Third Modi ministry, also called Modi 3.0, is the union council of ministers of India headed by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, which was formed after the 2024 Indian general election held in seven phases between April and June 2024. [1] The results of the election were announced on 4 June 2024, leading to the formation of the 18th Lok Sabha. The union council of ministers was sworn in along with the Prime Minister on 9 June 2024. The oath ceremony was arranged in the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan at Raisina Hill.

The Third Modi ministry came into existence following the 2024 general election to the 18th Lok Sabha in which the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance emerged victorious winning 293 of the 543 seats of the Lok Sabha.

PM Modi chaired the first cabinet meeting on 10 June and the portfolios of the Union Council of Ministers was released shortly after.

Ram Vilas Paswan was an Indian politician from Bihar and the Cabinet Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in the first and second Modi ministries. Paswan was also the president of the Lok Janshakti Party, nine-times Lok Sabha member and two-time Rajya Sabha MP. He started his political career as member of Samyukta Socialist Party and was elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1969. Later, Paswan joined Lok Dal upon its formation in 1974, and became its general secretary. He opposed the emergency, and was arrested during this period. He first entered the Lok Sabha in 1977, as a Janata Party member from Hajipur constituency, and was elected again in 1980, 1989, 1991, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2004 and 2014.

The Union Council of Ministers is the principal executive organ of the Government of India, which functions as the senior decision-making body of the executive branch. It is chaired by the prime minister and consists of the heads of each of the executive government ministries. A senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Swaraj was the second woman to hold the office of Minister of External Affairs, after Indira Gandhi. He was also the Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines of India, from 2019 to 2024 and Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, since 2004, representing the Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency. He was also the State President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Karnataka (BJP) from 2014 to 2016. He served in the panel of chairpersons of Lok Sabha (2014–2018).

Manoj Sinha is an Indian politician serving as the 2nd and the current lieutenant governor of Jammu and Kashmir. The heads of the states of BIMSTEC countries were invited as guests of honor for this ceremony.

In the 2024 Indian general elections, she defeated Umeshbhai Makwana of Aam Aadmi Party by 455,289 votes. Nimuben Bambhaniya belong to the Koli caste of Gujarat.
