Transnistria, officially known as the Pridnestrovian Moldovan Republic (PMR), is a breakaway state internationally recognized as part of Moldova. Transnistria controls most of the narrow strip of land between the Dniester river and the Moldova–Ukraine border, as well as some land on the other side of the river's bank. Its capital and largest city is Tiraspol. Transnistria is officially designated by the Republic of Moldova as the Administrative-Territorial Units of the Left Bank of the Dniester or as Stînga Nistrului.
Aleksandr Ivanovich Korolyov is a Transnistrian politician. He is of Russian ethnicity.
The anthem of Transnistria, titled "We Sing the Praises of Transnistria", was written by Boris Parmenov, Nicholas Bozhko and Vitaly Pishchenko, and composed by Boris Alexandrovich Alexandrov. The anthem has lyrics in all three official languages of Transnistria: Russian, Romanian, and Ukrainian. They are, however, not all literal translations of one another. The origin of the anthem was from the Russian patriotic song "Long Live our State", a 1943 composition that was one of the proposed songs to be the anthem of the Soviet Union. Boris Alexandrov's composition was, however, rejected in favor of the one submitted by his father, Alexander Alexandrov.
Salam Fayyad is a Jordanian–Palestinian politician who served as the prime minister of the Palestinian Authority and the finance minister. He was Finance Minister from June 2002 to November 2005 and from March 2007 to May 2012. Fayyad was Prime Minister between June 2007 and June 2013.
The Transnistrian republic is recognized by three states with limited recognition, and is a member of one international organization, the Community for Democracy and Human Rights, that was established by these four states.
The Ministry of Interior and National Security is the branch of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) cabinet in charge of the security and the statistics of the population of the State of Palestine. The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) is a sub-branch of the Interior Ministry that has the responsibility for the population and economic statistics of the Palestinian territories. Parliamentary elections were held in Transnistria on 12 December 2010. All 43 seats of the Supreme Council of Transnistria were up for election. Transnistria uses first past the post with 43 single seat constituencies.
The State of Palestine has been accepted as an observer state of the United Nations General Assembly in November 2012. As of May 2024, 141 of the 193 United Nations (UN) member states have recognized the State of Palestine.
The Ministry of Defense of Transnistria is a government agency of the partially recognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. It is the executive body in implementing defense policies in of the Armed Forces of Transnistria. The current Minister of Defense is Major General Oleg Obruchlov.
The Republic Day of Transnistria also known in the West as Independence Day or National Day is the main state holiday in the partially recognized republic of Transnistria. This date is celebrated annually on September 2.
The Tiraspol Suvorov Military School (TrSVU) (Russian: Тираспольское Суворовское военное училище, Romanian: Şcoala militară ”Suvorov”, Ukrainian: Тирасполь Суворовська військова школа) is a military academy and boarding school in the partially recognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic that serves as the military school for young adults in the Armed Forces of Transnistria. It is one of many Suvorov Military Schools located in other former Soviet Republics for military cadets. Currently located on Zelinsky Street in Tiraspol, the incumbent officer-in-charge of the school is Sergei Alexandrov.
The Military Band of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Transnistria is the central military band of the Armed Forces of Transnistria. The repertoire of the band includes over 500 works by classical composers, as well as contemporary authors and arrangers.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika is the highest-ranking military officer of the Armed Forces of Transnistria. He is responsible for the administration and the operational control of the Transnistria military. The current Chief of the General Staff is Major General Pavel Vladimirovich Mikhailov.
South Ossetia–Transnistria relations Russian: Приднестровско-югоосетинские отношения) is the bilateral relationship between South Ossetia and the Pridnestrovian Moldovan Republic (Transnistria). South Ossetia is recognized by five United Nations member states and Transnistria by none. The bilateral relations are mostly symbolic.

Irina Ivanova Molokanova is a politician and economist, who studied at Odesa National Polytechnic University, graduating in 1980 with qualifications in engineering and economics. She was Minister of Finance for the Pridnestrovian Moldovan Republic on two occasions: from July 2007 to 24 January 2012 in the succeeding governments of Igor Smirnov and Yevgeny Shevchuk, and 11 January 2016 to 29 December 2017 under Shevchuk and Vadim Krasnoselsky. She has held a range of positions in the Transnistrian government, including as Director of the State Reserve Fund from 25 January to 30 November 2012.
