The Fredericton Police are the police force for the City of Fredericton, New Brunswick.
The Fredericton Police were created on June 27, 1851. One police officer was hired (unpaid) to patrol wards. Their first (unofficial) chief of police was Sgt. Paul Phillips. City council never allowed him to utilize the name "chief of police". The first official chief of police was George Winter (September 1908) and retained the position for eight months.

In 1883, the Fredericton Police relocated their headquarters to what is now the City of Fredericton's city hall and remained there until 1971. The Fredericton Police again relocated their office in 1971, to York Street, and shared the building with the Fredericton Fire Department. Since 1983, the Fredericton Police Force are located at 311 Queen Street in downtown Fredericton.
The Fredericton City Hall is the meeting place of the Fredericton City Council in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. The three-storey building was constructed between 1875 and 1876 by architects McKean and Fairweather and built by H. B. Crosby and O. M. Campbell in the Second Empire style. It is located near Phoenix Square in Downtown Fredericton.

The SIG Sauer P226 is a full-sized, service-type pistol made by SIG Sauer. This model is sold with a choice of four chambers to choose from: the 9×19mm Parabellum, .40 S&W, .357 SIG, or .22 Long Rifle. It has essentially the same basic design as the SIG Sauer P220, but is developed to use higher capacity, double stack magazines in place of the single stack magazines of the P220. The P226 itself has spawned further sub-variants; the P228 and P229 are both compact versions of the double stack P226 design. The SIG Sauer P226 and its variants are in service with numerous law enforcement and military organizations worldwide.
