Gav Koshak (Persian : گاوكشك‎, also Romanized as Gāv Koshak; also known as Gāv Koshak-e ‘Olyā and Gāv Kushak)^[1] is a village in Dasht-e Barm Rural District, Kuhmareh District, Kazerun County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 580, in 151 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Dasht-e Barm Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Kuhmareh District, Kazerun County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 6,690, in 1,474 families. The rural district has 15 villages.

Kuhmareh District is a district (bakhsh) in Kazerun County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 18,635, in 4,191 families. The District has one city: Nowdan. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Dasht-e Barm Rural District and Kuhmareh Rural District.
