Papun-e Olya (Persian : پاپون عليا‎, also Romanized as Pāpūn-e ‘Olyā; also known as Pāpūn, Pāpūnī, and Pāpūnī Moḩammad)^[1] is a village in Kuhmareh Rural District, Kuhmareh District, Kazerun County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 461, in 94 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Kuhmareh Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Kuhmareh District, Kazerun County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 9,356, in 2,136 families. The rural district has 13 villages.
