Gays Creek is an unincorporated community in Perry County, Kentucky, United States. Gays Creek is 14 miles (23 km) west-northwest of Hazard.^[2] Gays Creek has a post office, established in 1888, with ZIP code 41745.^[3]

Perry County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2010 census, the population was 28,712. Its county seat is Hazard. The county was founded in 1820. Both the county and county seat are named for Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, a naval hero in the War of 1812.

Although styled as the "State of Kentucky" in the law creating it, (because in Kentucky's first constitution, the name state was used) Kentucky is one of four U.S. states constituted as a commonwealth.
