Gerdeh Layan (Persian : گرده لائين‎, also Romanized as Gerdeh Lāyan)^[1] is a village in Qaflankuh-e Gharbi Rural District, in the Central District of Meyaneh County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 66, in 15 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Qaflankuh-e Gharbi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Meyaneh County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 12,166, in 2,990 families. The rural district has 16 villages.
