Tevin (Persian : طوين‎, also Romanized as Ţevīn and Ţovīn; also known as Ţīvīūn and Ţīvyūn)^[1] is a village in Garmeh-ye Shomali Rural District, Kandovan District, Meyaneh County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 594, in 118 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Garmeh-ye Shomali Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Kandovan District, Meyaneh County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 7,584, in 1,612 families. The rural district has 29 villages.

Kandovan District is a district (bakhsh) in Meyaneh County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 24,820 in 5,875 families. The District has one city: Tark. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Garmeh-ye Shomali Rural District, Kandovan Rural District, and Tirchai Rural District.
