Qarab-e Olya (Persian : قاراب عليا‎, also Romanized as Qārāb-e ‘Olyā; also known as Fārāb-e ‘Olyā, Qārāb, Qārāb Bālā, Qārāb-e Bālā, and Verkhnyaya Kerov)^[1] is a village in Kaghazkonan-e Shomali Rural District, Kaghazkonan District, Meyaneh County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 125, in 33 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Kaghazkonan-e Shomali Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Kaghazkonan District, Meyaneh County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 3,818, in 1,212 families. The rural district has 32 villages.
