Maman (Persian : ممان‎, also Romanized as Mamān and Māmān; also known as Mamanlu)^[1] is a village in Garmeh-ye Jonubi Rural District, in the Central District of Meyaneh County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 889, in 280 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Garmeh-ye Jonubi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Meyaneh County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 8,205, in 1,889 families. The rural district has 41 villages.
