Brayton Grist Mill is an historic grist mill along Mashamoquet Brook, at the entrance to Mashamoquet Brook State Park off United States Route 44 in Pomfret, Connecticut. Built about 1890, it is one of the best-preserved 19th-century rural grist mills in the state. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The mill has been restored, and is maintained by the Pomfret Historical Society as the Marcy Blacksmith Museum; it is open by appointment.

Kaese Mill is a historic grist mill located at Accident, Garrett County, Maryland, United States. It was constructed about 1868, and is a 2+12-story frame water-powered grist mill. It is the only fully operational water-powered grist mill in Maryland. It was built by Henry August Kaese, Sr., an immigrant miller from Germany who settled in Garrett County shortly after the American Civil War.

The Wye Mill is the oldest continuously operated grist mill in the United States, located at Wye Mills, Queen Anne's County and Talbot County, Maryland, United States. It is the earliest industrial site on the Eastern Shore in continuous use; dating to the late 17th century. It is a wood-frame, water-powered grist mill, with a 19th-century 26 HP 10-foot-diameter (3.0 m) Fitz steel overshot wheel. The mill retains nearly all of its late-18th-century equipment. The Wye Mill was one of the first grist mills to be automated with the Oliver Evans process, which is still in use today.

The Cedar Creek Grist Mill is a historical grist mill located in Woodland, Washington listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The mill was built in 1876 by George W. Woodham family and A.C. Reid. The remains of the dam which supplied water to the mill were removed in 1950s. The mill was restored to working condition in the 1980s and now operates as a museum.

The Gooseville Mill/Grist Mill is a historic mill on the North Branch Milwaukee River in Gooseville, Wisconsin. The mill was built in 1879 to replace an 1855 mill that had burned down. The mill is a small custom mill with board and batten siding and is typical of the custom mills common in Sheboygan County in the 1800s. A Lefel turbine powered the mill, replacing the paddle wheel used in the 1855 mill. A burr mill was used to grind the grain processed at the mill. As of 1984, the mill was still operational and occasionally used as a sawmill.

Valley Mills is a historic building located east of Garnavillo, Iowa, United States. This is one of at least four mills that was located on Buck Creek in the 19th century. They included both grist and lumber mills. The first mill located on this site was a lumber mill built in 1850. A change in ownership and an expansion of the business led to the construction of this grist mill three years later. The two-story structure is composed of roughly dressed limestone, has an exposed basement, and is capped with a gable roof. It was built for B. E. Schroeder and J. H. Kueuzel, who owned the mill until 1867. Kueuzel then held sole ownership into the 1880s. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

East Calais is an unincorporated village in the town of Calais, Washington County, Vermont, United States. The community is located along Vermont Route 14, 10.3 miles (16.6 km) northeast of Montpelier. East Calais has a post office with ZIP code 05650, which opened on April 12, 1830. The heart of the village forms the East Calais Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.
