The Goulds is a designated place in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is a rural neighbourhood within the City of St. John's southeast of the city centre.

History

The Goulds was an incorporated community up until 1991, at which time it was amalgamated with Wedgewood Park and Kilbride into the City of St. John's.

The Goulds is in the City of St. John's on the island of Newfoundland within Division No. 1. [1]

The Goulds is known for having had two residents appear as contestants Canada's Worst Driver : Jillian Kieley (née Matthews) (in Season 11), and Ashley Dunne (in Season 13).

The community has three schools: Goulds Elementary for grades K-5, St. Kevin's Junior High School for grades 6–8, and St. Kevin's High School for grades 9-12.

The present town is approximately 200 years old, though the site has been continuously occupied since at least 1598. Bartlett's Harbour is a local service district and designated place in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador that is northeast of Pointe Riche on the island of Newfoundland. Michael's Harbour is a designated place in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is just outside Lewisporte. There are no stores or services and residents must commute to Lewisporte for essential services and Campbellton for education until the 9th grade. They commute to Lewisporte for high school. The community had a crisis in 2020 where a house burned down and it was determined that no fire department was obliged to provide services to the community. In February of the same year, the issue was resolved where the Lewisporte Fire Department agreed to provide service in exchange for CA$50 fee per homeowner.

Heart's Delight-Islington is a town on the south side of Trinity Bay in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador, located on Newfoundland and Labrador Route 80. The Post Office was established in 1954. The first Postmistress was Maggie Chislett.

South River is an incorporated municipality in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador, located at the south-southeast side of Bay de Grave, in Conception Bay. The town had a population of 674 according to the 2021 Canadian Census. South River is the site of the western terminus of Newfoundland and Labrador Route 60, also known as the Conception Bay Highway, which proceeds eastward to downtown St. John's.
