Government Aizawl North College is an educational institution located in Ramhlun Venglai, the northern part of Aizawl, Mizoram. The college is affiliated with Mizoram University [1] As of 2014 [update] , it has 1120 students. [2] The college's principal is Prof. S. Haukhanlian Mate. [3] The College at present has 1,309 students, 28 teachers and 12 non-teaching staff. [4]
Government Aizawl North College was established in 1988 with recognition by the government of Mizoram as a pre-university institution, and was authorised to grant degrees in 1990. It is now under the management of the Higher and Technical Education Department and since 1 July 2006 has been a full degree-granting affiliate of Mizoram University. [5] It was recognised by UGC on 27 September 2007 and received a grade of B+ from the NAAC in 2009. [5]

Students also elect one male and one female peer educator, in addition to the vice president and general secretary of the Students’ Union and all class representatives, who are traditionally appointed as peer educators.
By order of the principal, a Women Development Cell was formed on 1 September 2014 to examine and cater to the needs of women students, including prevention of gender discrimination and sexual harassment.
Pachhunga University College (PUC) is a public institute in Aizawl, Mizoram, and the only constituent college of Mizoram University, a central university established by an Act of Parliament of India. Founded in 1958 as Aijal College, it is the oldest and largest college in Mizoram, by enrolment and campus size. Aizawl Theological College is an ecumenical seminary of the Presbyterian Church in Aizawl, Mizoram, India. It is affiliated to the Senate of Serampore College (University). Hundreds of pastors and church leaders have received their academic training and ministerial formation under the standards laid down by the Senate of Serampore College since its inception in 1907.
