Gwaenysgor is a small village in Flintshire, Wales. Located near Prestatyn in north Wales, it lies at an elevation of 600 feet, 183 metres. There is one pub, the Eagle and Child. The remnants of RAF Prestatyn lie on the hill nearby. (St. Elmo's Summerhouse).
Mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 (then referred to as Wenescol), people have lived on this ancient settlement for more than 5000 years. [1]

The Vale of Clwyd is a tract of low-lying ground in the county of Denbighshire in north-east Wales. The Vale extends south-southwestwards from the coast of the Irish Sea for some 20 miles forming a triangle of low ground bounded on its eastern side by the well-defined scarp of the Clwydian Range and to the west by numerous low hills. The River Clwyd which rises within Clocaenog Forest, southwest of Denbigh, runs the full length of the vale. It is joined by the two major left bank tributaries of the River Clywedog and River Elwy and the smaller right bank tributary of the River Wheeler.

Prestatyn Castle is a motte and bailey castle in Prestatyn, Wales, built in 1157 on land granted to the Norman lord Robert Banastre by King Henry II of England. It was built on level ground on the coastal plain and commanded an extensive view. Nowadays the mound and slight remnants of a causeway are all that is visible.
St Asaph City Football Club is a Welsh football team based in St Asaph, Denbighshire, Wales. They play in the North Wales Coast East Football League Premier Division, which is in the fourth tier of the Welsh football league system.
