Hannah Louise Miley MBE (born 8 August 1989) is a Scottish former competitive swimmer who specialised in the Individual Medley. Miley trained when she was younger at Inverurie Swimming Centre. She has represented Great Britain at three Olympic Games, reaching the final of the 400 metres individual medley on each occasion, finishing sixth in 2008, fifth in 2012 and fourth in 2016. [9] Also in the 400 m individual medley, she is a former World short-course champion (2012), European champion (2010), and two-time European short-course champion (2009 and 2012) representing Great Britain, and a two-time Commonwealth champion (2010 and 2014) representing Scotland.
She represented Scotland at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, winning a gold medal in the 400m individual medley. [10] [11] [12]
Miley represented Great Britain at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the 200m and 400m individual medley swimming events and represented Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the 400m individual medley, attaining 5th place.
In 2012, Miley became world and European 400 m individual medley short course champion. She became the first British swimmer to win three individual medals at a European Short Course Championships since Sue Rolph in 1999. [13] Miley then won two medals at the World Short Course Championships, [14] which included the first world title of her career. [15]
In 2014, she retained her 400m individual medley title at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. [16] At the Games, Miley reached seven finals and won two medals in total. [17]
Miley made her Arena Pro Swim Series debut in February 2015, winning gold in the 200 m freestyle and 400 m individual medley, [18] and six medals in total. [19] She added a further two medals in March 2017, including gold in her strongest event. [20] [21]
Hannah Miley is currently supporting and is the face of the Kellogg's Free Kids Swim campaign. [22]
She was born in Swindon, Wiltshire, England, [23] and, a few months after being born, moved to Inverurie, Scotland where she attended Inverurie Academy before graduating from Robert Gordon University. [24] [25]
Miley was an ambassador for the LEN Short Course Championships in Glasgow in 2019. [26]
Miley was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2022 Birthday Honours for services to swimming and women in sport. [27]

Miley is married to Euan. She gave birth to a daughter in 2023; Miley has spoken of experiencing a "whirlwind" after her daughter was born several weeks premature. [40]
Mireia Belmonte García is a Spanish Olympic, world, and European champion swimmer. She is the world record holder in the short course 200 metre butterfly and 400 metre individual medley. Formerly, she held the world record in the short course 400 metre freestyle, 800 metre freestyle, and 1500 metre freestyle. She was the first Spanish woman to win a gold medal in swimming at an Olympic Games and is widely considered to be the greatest Spanish swimmer of all time.
Alia Shanee Atkinson, СD is a Jamaican five-time Olympian and a former competitive swimmer whose international competition career spanned 19 years, 2003 to 2021 inclusive, at the senior level. At short course World Swimming Championships, she is a ten-time medalist in individual events, including four gold medals, four silver medals, and two bronze medals. She won a total of 124 medals, of which 74 were gold medals, at Swimming World Cup circuits over the course of her career. She won 14 total medals in individual events, 11 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze, from her first three Central American and Caribbean Games, in 2006, 2010, and 2018.

Kenneth King-him To was a Hong Kong Australian swimmer who practised individual medley, freestyle, butterfly and breaststroke. He was the holder of 16 Hong Kong national swimming records.

Nguyễn Thị Ánh Viên is a Vietnamese swimmer. She swam for Vietnam at the 2016 Olympics. At the 2014 Asian Games, she won Vietnam's first-ever medal in swimming. She has been named Vietnam's Athlete of the Year in both 2013 and 2014. By the end of 2014, she holds the Vietnamese records in 14 of the 17 long-course individual events. Kosuke Hagino is a Japanese former competitive swimmer who specialized in the individual medley and 200 m freestyle. He is a four-time Olympic medalist, most notably winning gold in the 400 m individual medley at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Aimee Willmott is an English competitive swimmer who has represented Great Britain at the Olympic Games, FINA world championships and European championships, and England in the Commonwealth Games. She was the 2018 Commonwealth Games champion in the 400 metres individual medley.
Daiya Seto is a Japanese professional swimmer who specializes in individual medley, butterfly, breaststroke, and freestyle events. He holds the world record in the short course 400-metre individual medley and formerly held the world record in the short course 200-metre butterfly. Daniel Wallace is a retired Scottish swimmer who has represented Great Britain in the Olympic Games and FINA world championships, and Scotland in the Commonwealth Games. The 2014 Commonwealth Games champion at 400 metre individual medley, he was part of the Great Britain 4 x 200 metre freestyle relay team that won gold at the 2015 FINA World Aquatics Championships, and silver at the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. In June of 2023, Dan Wallace swam the channel, as part of a 5-man relay team, in aid of multiple charities, raising over £200.000 in aid of Cancer Research and funds to support Ukrainian refugees.
Emily Overholt is a Canadian former competitive swimmer. She has won bronze medals at the Olympic Games and FINA World Aquatics Championships, as well as a silver at the Commonwealth Games and three Pan American Games medals. Overholt also won three gold and a silver at the 2013 Canada Games as a representative for British Columbia.
James George Guy is an English competitive swimmer who specialises in freestyle and butterfly. Guy has won multiple gold medals at each of the major international meets available to him, including for Great Britain at the Olympic Games (2), the World (5) and European Championships (7), and England in the Commonwealth Games (2). In addition to further medals in those events, he has also reached the podium at both the World and European short-course championships. With 45 major medals at international championship meets, 19 at global level, he is one of the most decorated swimmers in British history.
Sydney Pickrem is a Canadian competitive swimmer. A two-time Olympian, she won a silver medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics as part of the Canadian 4×100 metre medley relay team, and is a seven-time World Aquatics Championships medalist.
Duncan William MacNaughton Scott is a Scottish swimmer representing Great Britain at the FINA World Aquatics Championships, LEN European Aquatics Championships, European Games and the Olympic Games, and Scotland at the Commonwealth Games. Scott made history after winning four medals - more than any other British athlete at a single Olympic Games - in Tokyo 2020, simultaneously becoming Great Britain's most decorated swimmer in Olympic history.
Travis Mahoney is an Australian medley and backstroke swimmer.
