Haworth railway station serves the village of Haworth in West Yorkshire, England.

History

It was opened in 1867 along with the rest of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, [1] and closed in 1962. [2] Preservation led to the line being reopened in June 1968 [3] and now serves as the headquarters of the railway. [4] The former goods shed in the railway yard has been expanded into the locomotive shed for the railway providing facilities for the storage, maintenance and overhaul of the locomotives on the line. [5]

In 1967, Look at Life featured the station and its volunteers in the 'Playing Trains' episode.

The station, its immediate environs and the railway workshops are all designated as part of the Haworth Conservation Area by Bradford Council. [6]

Ingrow (East) railway station Disused railway station in West Yorkshire, England

Ingrow (East) railway station was a small English railway station on the Keighley-Queensbury section of the Queensbury Lines which ran between Bradford, Halifax and Keighley via Queensbury. The station served the prosperous industrial district of Keighley and was only a short distance away from the Ingrow (West) railway station on the Midland Railway Oxenhope Branch, which is now the preserved Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.

Keighley Tramways Company operated a tramway service in Keighley between 1889 and 1901 with horse power. The system re-opened three days later as Keighley Corporation Tramways and stayed in service until 1924 when it closed for good.

The Rolling stock of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway is used on the preserved Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, a 5-mile-long (8 km) branch line that served mills and villages in the Worth Valley and is now a heritage railway line in West Yorkshire, England. It runs from Keighley to Oxenhope. It connects to the national rail network line at Keighley railway station.

LMS Ivatt Class 2 2-6-2T 41241

41241 is an LMS Ivatt Class 2 2-6-2T that was built at Crewe Works in September 1949. It is one of four members of the class left in preservation but one of only two that is located on the mainland ; the other pair being located on the Isle of Wight.

Manningham Engine Shed was a railway depot located in the Manningham suburb of Bradford in West Yorkshire, England. The depot was built to provide steam engines for services leaving Bradford Forster Square station and freight traffic from the Valley Road area of the city. It was also responsible for other sites at Keighley and Ilkley with Manningham itself being a sub-shed of Holbeck.
