Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited is an Indian company that specializes in the construction sector and has implemented successful projects spanning all across the country. Incorporated in the year 1964 the company is headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Earlier it was under the Ministry of Steel, however following takeover of 51% of its shares by NBCC (India) Limited in April 2017, it became its subsidiary under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs. Financials

HSCL reported a total income of Rs.790.85 crores during the financial year ended March 31, 2023 as compared to Rs.556.76 crores during the financial year ended March 31, 2022. The company has posted net profit of Rs.23.14 crores for the financial year ended March 31, 2023 as against net profit of Rs.27.76 crores for the financial year ended March 31, 2022. [2] [8]

Projects

Some of the landmark projects constructed by HSCL include ESIC Medical College, dental college, 500 bedded hospital & paramedical block at Gulbarga, Bangalore, pilgrimage center at Solopok and cultural center at Yangang in Sikkim, Shillong International Centre for Performing Arts & Culture (SICPAC), Shillong in Meghalaya under NLCPR for Govt of Meghalaya and many more. HSCL has also executed key projects of schools and hostels for SC & ST Department, Govt. of Odisha, NVS projects in Khamman, (Telangana), Bihta and Madhubani (Bihar). It also completed many important road projects in Jharkhand under PMGSY. [9] [10]
