Humnabad railway station, (station code: HMBD) is an Indian Railways Train station located in Humnabad, Bidar in the Indian state of Karnataka and serves Humnabad area. It is located on the Bidar-Kalaburagi line of Secunderabad railway division in South Central Railway zone. [1]
Bidar–Gulbarga Railway Line foundation stone for the project was laid in 1996, construction began in 2000 .The work completed in two phases. Phase one push-pull train service between Bidar and Humnabad started in 2013.The second phase between Humnabad and Gulbarga delayed due to land acquisition in Gulbarga, as farmers went to court seeking higher compensation, and on 29 October 2017 the full line flagged off between Bidar and Gulbarga (Kalaburagi). Humnabad railway station has two platforms, each running to 400 meter in length, computerized reservation counter, waiting room, tea stall, parking, foot overbridge, and toilet facilities. Humnabad has connectivity with Kalaburagi and Bidar. [3]

The Hyderabad Multi-Modal Transport System, commonly abbreviated as MMTS, is a suburban rail system in Hyderabad, India. A joint venture of the Government of Telangana and the South Central Railway, it is operated by the latter. The 90-kilometre (56 mi) system operates to cater the city of Hyderabad and the neighbouring suburban areas connecting Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Falaknuma, Lingampally, Medchal and Umdanagar with a total of 133 MMTS services. Currently 86 MMTS services are being operated due to the effect of COVID-19.

Duronto Express, translating to "Speedster" in Bengali, is a class of long-distance rapid trains operated by Indian Railways. Initially conceived to operate non-stop between origin and destination stations, since January 2016, these trains have been permitted to make additional commercial stops and accept ticket bookings from technical halts. The Gulbarga Fort is located in Kalaburagi in the Kalaburagi district of North Karnataka. This fort was originally constructed by a hindu king Raja Gulchand, it was subsequently significantly enlarged in 1347 by Al-ud-din Hasan Bahmani of the Bahmani Dynasty after he cut off his ties with the Delhi Sultanate; Islamic monuments such as mosques, palaces, tombs, and other structures were also built later within the refurbished fort. The Jama Masjid built later, within the fort, in 1367, is a unique structure built in Persian architectural style, fully enclosed, with elegant domes and arched columns, which is unlike any other mosque in India. It was built to commemorate the establishment of the dynastic rule of the Bahmani kingdom at Kalaburagi fort between 1327 and 1424. It remained the capital of the Bahmani Kingdom till 1424 where after the capital was shifted to Bidar Fort, as Bidar had better climatic conditions.
