Philippine Idol is the first version of the Idol series in the Philippines, the 35th country in the world to air a local Idol adaptation and the sixth in Asia broadcast by ABC 5. Similar to the premise of original show Pop Idol, Philippine Idol aims to find the best singer in the country who can be defined as the "national" singer. Local television personality Ryan Agoncillo hosted the program. Ryan Cayabyab, Pilita Corrales and Francis Magalona were also judges of the show. Agoncillo, Corrales and Magalona auditioned to be part of the program, while Cayabyab was chosen by the program's producers. Meanwhile, actress Heart Evangelista hosted the daily updates program I ♥ Philippine Idol: Exclusive. Composer Mel Villena was the show's musical director.

Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) is a Philippine reality talent competition show on ABS-CBN that began on February 20, 2010, replacing The Singing Bee & Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up and replaced by Twist and Shout on July 3, 2010. It is based on the Got Talent franchise, a British TV format conceived and owned by Simon Cowell's SYCO company. "Pilipinas" is the Filipino word for Philippines. Anyone can join and showcase their talents in the audition. At the sound of four buzzers from the judges, the auditionees are asked to stop their act. With at least three approval votes from the judges, they are automatically in the list for Judges Cuts, where judges have to pick only 36 acts that will move to the semi-finals. Acts will compete against each other in order to gain the audience support to win the prize money and the title of Pilipinas Got Talent.

It was part of The Voice franchise and was based from a similar competition format in the Netherlands called The Voice of Holland. The show was hosted by Toni Gonzaga with Robi Domingo, and Alex Gonzaga serving as the V-Reporters or as the social media correspondents. Bamboo Mañalac, Sarah Geronimo, Lea Salonga, and apl.de.ap serves as the four coaches and the judging panel of the show.

Himig Handog is a multimedia songwriting and music video competition in the Philippines based in Quezon City. The competition is operated by ABS-CBN Corporation and its music subsidiary Star Music. The contest ran from 2000 to 2003 and was later revived in 2013. The theme of the contest has been love songs since 2002.
The second season of The Voice of the Philippines was a reality singing competition in ABS-CBN which started airing on October 26, 2014. apl.de.ap, Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, and Bamboo Mañalac returned as coaches for this season. Toni Gonzaga also returned to host the show; she was also joined by The Voice Kids host, Luis Manzano. Robi Domingo and Alex Gonzaga also returned to reprise their roles as the show's V-reporters.

It airs on the Kapamilya Channel, a simulcast on A2Z, GMA Network, it's sister channel GTV and Jeepney TV as well as on online streaming platforms such as Facebook and YouTube via Showtime Online Ü and Kapamilya Online Live every Monday to Saturday. Dubbed as "Your All-Time Favorite Search for Outstanding Amateur Talents", the competition is open to Filipino contestants from Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and overseas.
The first season of the Philippine reality singing competition The Voice Teens premiered on April 16, 2017 on ABS-CBN. Lea Salonga, Bamboo Mañalac and Sharon Cuneta, who had appeared in the third season of The Voice Kids returned to the show as coaches; they will also be accompanied by Sarah Geronimo, who had returned to the franchise after a season hiatus. The show is hosted by Toni Gonzaga and Luis Manzano — the two previously teamed up in hosting the second season of The Voice of the Philippines. The show airs every Saturdays 7:15 p.m. (PST) and Sundays at 7:00 p.m. (PST). It originally ran for 60 minutes until I Can Do That concluded, in which the show's run time was extended to 75 minutes. The finale aired on July 30, 2017 with Jona Marie Soquite of Team Sarah as the champion.
Moira Rachelle Bustamante Dela Torre is a Filipino singer-songwriter and occasional actress. Born in Olongapo, Philippines, she began as a voice artist for corporate jingles and theme songs. In 2013, she competed in The Voice of The Philippines, releasing her debut EP Moira following her stint in the show. She rose to fame after interpreting Libertine Amistoso's "Titibo-Tibo" in the Himig Handog music video competition, in which it won. She gained further success with her 2018 debut album, Malaya, which was awarded an eight-time platinum certification in 2020.

It aired from April 21, 2019, to September 18, 2022, replacing World of Dance Philippines and was replaced by Everybody, Sing!.
