Telugu Indian Idol is an Indian Telugu-language music competition television series and is part of Indian Idol . It is Telugu version of the Pop Idol format. First season of the show was premiered on 25 February 2022 on Aha. [2] [3] Vagdevi was announced as the winner of the first season. [4] Third season was premiered on 14 June 2024. [5]

Season 1

Production

The finale episode of the season was initially scheduled to be shot on 6 June 2022, but was postponed to 7 June 2022. [6]

Judges and presenters

Sreerama Chandra was signed as the presenter of the first season after becoming the runner-up of the reality show Bigg Boss 5. [7] [8] While, the judges of the first season are Nithya Menen, Karthik and Thaman S. [9] After Karthik was announced as one of the judges, the show faced criticism. Several netizens argued that he is accused of MeToo and slammed the production for choosing him. [10]

Hemachandra was signed as the presenter of the season. Thaman S and Karthik returned as the guests for the third time, while Nithya Menen was replaced by Geetha Madhuri as the judge.

Season 3

According to reports, for season 3 there were 150,000 auditions were conducted to shortlist 12 contestants, [11] Third season was premiered on 14 June 2024, [3] with two episodes being released every week. [12]

Judges and presenters

Sreerama Chandra returned as the presenter of the season for the second time, after the first season. Thaman S, Karthik and Geetha Madhuri returned as the judges of the season.

In 2010, he gained prominence by winning the fifth season of the music reality show Indian Idol. He made his acting debut in 2013 with the Telugu film Jagadguru Adi Shankara. Veppam (transl. Heat) is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language crime action film written and directed by newcomer Anjana Ali Khan, starring Nani, Nithya Menen, Karthik Kumar, and Bindu Madhavi. The film marks Nani's Tamil debut. The story narrates events from the slum areas of Chennai, showcasing characters and their struggles. The film, jointly produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon's Photon Kathaas and R. S. Infotainment, had been in production for over one year. The film released on 29 July 2011, while a dubbed Telugu version, titled Sega, released simultaneously in Andhra Pradesh. Veppam received mixed reviews.

<i>JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai</i> 2015 film directed by Cheran

JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by Cheran, which was partially reshot and later released in Telugu as Rajadhi Raja. It stars Sharwanand and Nithya Menen while Prakash Raj and Santhanam play supporting roles. The film featured songs by G. V. Prakash Kumar and film scored by Siddharth Vipin. After failing to have a theatrical release in late 2013, the Tamil version of the film had a direct-to-video release in March 2015, becoming the first venture in a new initiative launched by Cheran known as Cinema2Home (C2H). The Telugu version of the film had been indefinitely placed on hold, but was later released theatrically in June 2016, with the makers trying to profit from Sharwanand's popularity.

Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde is a 2013 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film directed by debutant Vijay Kumar Konda and written by Harsha Vardhan. Produced by N. Nikitha Reddy under the banner of Shresht Movies, The film stars Nithiin, Nithya Menen, and Isha Talwar. Anup Rubens composed the music while I. It is an official remake of the 2020 Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The film was filmed primarily in Hyderabad between January 2021 and February 2022 although temporarily halted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It has music composed by Thaman S with cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran and editing by Naveen Nooli.

Thiruchitrambalam is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy drama film written and directed by Mithran R. Jawahar and produced by Sun Pictures. The film stars Dhanush in the title role with Nithya Menen, Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj, Raashii Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar in pivotal roles. In the film, Thiruchitrambalam is a delivery man who lives with his father and grandfather blames the former for the loss of his mother and sister and is not on good terms with the latter. Bheemla Nayak is the soundtrack album composed by S. Thaman for the 2022 Indian Telugu-language film of the same name, directed by Saagar K. Chandra from a screenplay written by Trivikram Srinivas. A remake of the Malayalam-language film Ayyappanum Koshiyum (2020), the film stars Pawan Kalyan, Rana Daggubati, Nithya Menen and Samyuktha Menon. The film's soundtrack album featured seven songs, featuring lyrics written by Ramajogayya Sastry, Trivikram, Roll Rida and Kasarla Shyam. The album was released on 14 February 2022 under the Aditya Music label.
