Telugu Indian Idol is an Indian Telugu-language music competition television series and is part of Indian Idol . It is Telugu version of the Pop Idol format. First season of the show was premiered on 25 February 2022 on Aha. [2] [3] Vagdevi was announced as the winner of the first season. [4] Third season was premiered on 14 June 2024. [5]
The finale episode of the season was initially scheduled to be shot on 6 June 2022, but was postponed to 7 June 2022. [6]
Sreerama Chandra was signed as the presenter of the first season after becoming the runner-up of the reality show Bigg Boss 5. [7] [8] While, the judges of the first season are Nithya Menen, Karthik and Thaman S. [9] After Karthik was announced as one of the judges, the show faced criticism. Several netizens argued that he is accused of MeToo and slammed the production for choosing him. [10]

According to reports, for season 3 there were 150,000 auditions were conducted to shortlist 12 contestants, [11] Third season was premiered on 14 June 2024, [3] with two episodes being released every week. [12]
Sreerama Chandra returned as the presenter of the season for the second time, after the first season. Thaman S, Karthik and Geetha Madhuri returned as the judges of the season.

The Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer – Telugu is given by the Filmfare magazine as part of its annual Filmfare Awards South for Telugu films. The first award in Telugu was given in 2004. During the period of 1997–2004, a common award for was given irrespective of gender of singers across all the four language-industries. K. S. Chithra is the first recipient also holds the record for maximum number of wins.
Geetha Madhuri is an Indian playback singer and voice artist. Madhuri has sung over 2300 songs in several languages including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. She is the recipient of numerous Nandi Awards and Filmfare Awards.
Nithya Menen is an Indian actress and singer who works predominantly in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil films. Having appeared in over 58 films, she is noted for her strong portrayals. Menen is a recipient of several accolades including a National Film Award, four Filmfare Awards South, two South Indian International Movie Awards and two Nandi Awards.
Sreerama Chandra Mynampati is an Indian playback singer and actor, recognized for his work in Telugu cinema, Bollywood, and television, as well as for hosting music shows. He began his career in 2008 as a playback singer in Telugu with ETV shows Okkare and Sye Singers Challenge. In 2010, he gained prominence by winning the fifth season of the music reality show Indian Idol. He made his acting debut in 2013 with the Telugu film Jagadguru Adi Shankara. In 2021, he participated in Bigg Boss Telugu 5, finishing as the second runner-up. Sreerama also hosted the first season of Telugu Indian Idol, which premiered on 25 February 2022. Most recently, he appeared as Kranthi in the film Papam Pasivadu, which premiered on 29 September 2023, alongside Rashi Singh, Srividya Maharshi, Gayatri Changanti, and Ashok Kumar.
Veppam (transl. Heat) is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language crime action film written and directed by newcomer Anjana Ali Khan, starring Nani, Nithya Menen, Karthik Kumar, and Bindu Madhavi. The film marks Nani's Tamil debut. The story narrates events from the slum areas of Chennai, showcasing characters and their struggles. The film, jointly produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon's Photon Kathaas and R. S. Infotainment, had been in production for over one year. The film released on 29 July 2011, while a dubbed Telugu version, titled Sega, released simultaneously in Andhra Pradesh. Veppam received mixed reviews.
JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by Cheran, which was partially reshot and later released in Telugu as Rajadhi Raja. It stars Sharwanand and Nithya Menen while Prakash Raj and Santhanam play supporting roles. The film featured songs by G. V. Prakash Kumar and film scored by Siddharth Vipin. After failing to have a theatrical release in late 2013, the Tamil version of the film had a direct-to-video release in March 2015, becoming the first venture in a new initiative launched by Cheran known as Cinema2Home (C2H). The Telugu version of the film had been indefinitely placed on hold, but was later released theatrically in June 2016, with the makers trying to profit from Sharwanand's popularity.
Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde is a 2013 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film directed by debutant Vijay Kumar Konda and written by Harsha Vardhan. Produced by N. Nikitha Reddy under the banner of Shresht Movies, The film stars Nithiin, Nithya Menen, and Isha Talwar. Anup Rubens composed the music while I. Andrew and Prawin Pudi handled the cinematography and editing respectively.

Jhossh is a 2009 Indian Kannada-language romance film directed and written by Shivamani. SIIMA Award for Best Female Playback Singer – Telugu is presented by Vibri media group as part of its annual South Indian International Movie Awards, for the best singing by a female playback singer/vocalist of a Telugu-language song. The award was first given in 2012 for songs and films released in 2011.
Savaari is a 2020 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film directed by Saahith Mothkuri in his feature film debut and starring Nandu and Priyanka Sharma.
Bigg Boss 5 is the season of the Telugu version of the Indian reality television series Bigg Boss based on the Dutch series Big Brother. The show premiered on 5 September 2021 on Star Maa and Disney+ Hotstar with Akkineni Nagarjuna returning as a host for third time.
Ghani is a 2022 Indian Telugu-language sports drama film written and directed by Kiran Korrapati and produced by Renaissance Pictures and Allu Bobby Company. The film stars Varun Tej as the title character alongside an ensemble cast of Upendra, Suniel Shetty, Jagapathi Babu, Saiee Manjrekar, and Naveen Chandra.
Bheemla Nayak is a 2022 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film directed by Saagar K Chandra from a screenplay by Trivikram Srinivas. The film stars Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati in lead roles. It is an official remake of the 2020 Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The film was filmed primarily in Hyderabad between January 2021 and February 2022 although temporarily halted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It has music composed by Thaman S with cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran and editing by Naveen Nooli.
Thiruchitrambalam is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy drama film written and directed by Mithran R. Jawahar and produced by Sun Pictures. The film stars Dhanush in the title role with Nithya Menen, Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj, Raashii Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar in pivotal roles. In the film, Thiruchitrambalam is a delivery man who lives with his father and grandfather blames the former for the loss of his mother and sister and is not on good terms with the latter. Meanwhile, his love life is not so successful.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa The Singing Superstar is the 14th season of the Indian Telugu-language musical/singing reality television show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Telugu. It premiered on Zee Telugu from 20 February 2022. Shruthika Samudhrala is the winner of the season. J.V. Sudhanshu is the First Runner-up.
Bheemla Nayak is the soundtrack album composed by S. Thaman for the 2022 Indian Telugu-language film of the same name, directed by Saagar K. Chandra from a screenplay written by Trivikram Srinivas. A remake of the Malayalam-language film Ayyappanum Koshiyum (2020), the film stars Pawan Kalyan, Rana Daggubati, Nithya Menen and Samyuktha Menon. The film's soundtrack album featured seven songs, featuring lyrics written by Ramajogayya Sastry, Trivikram, Roll Rida and Kasarla Shyam. The album was released on 14 February 2022 under the Aditya Music label.
Gaalivaana (transl. Storm) is a 2022 Indian Telugu-language mystery crime-thriller web series directed by Sharan Koppisetty with the story adapted and written by Chandra Pemmaraju. Produced by BBC Studios in association with Northstar Entertainment, the series has an ensemble cast of Radhika Sarathkumar, Sai Kumar, Chandini Chowdary, Nandini Rai, Chaitanya Krishna, Thagubothu Ramesh, Sharanya Pradeep and Ashritha Vemuganti.
Naa Style Veru is a 2009 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed by G. Ram Prasad and starring Rajasekhar and Bhumika Chawla. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Hallo (2007). The film was released to negative reviews.
