J. Emrys Morgan Cup is an association football knockout cup competition for football clubs in the lower leagues of the Welsh Football Association pyramid in the Mid and West Wales regions. It consists of a round by round knockout with semi-finals and the final played a neutral ground. Teams are drawn to play each other home or away in rounds up to the semi-finals. Llanfair United are an amateur football team who are from Llanfair Caereinion, Powys, Wales. They play in the Ardal Leagues North East whilst their reserve side play in the JT Hughes Montgomeryshire Division 1. They play their games at Mount Field which is situated in the town itself.

The Ceredigion League is a Welsh football league for the county of Ceredigion. It is at the fifth to seventh levels of the Welsh football league system. It was founded in 1921 as the Cardiganshire League in Lampeter. The ten founding teams were Aberaeron, Aberystwyth Battery, Conservative FC, College Reserves, Drefach, Lampeter, Llanybydder, Newcastle Emlyn, Padarn United and Parish Hall United. Newcastle Emlyn withdrew from the league without playing games.

Barmouth & Dyffryn United Football Club is a Welsh football club based in the coastal town of Barmouth, Gwynedd, also representing the nearby town of Dyffryn Ardudwy. They were due to play in the third tier Ardal NE having been promoted from the Central Wales League Northern Division for the 2023–24 season but withdrew in July 2023 and were accepted back into the Central Wales League.

The 2009–10 FAW Welsh Cup was the 123rd edition of the annual knockout tournament for competitive football teams in Wales, excluding those who play in the English League System. The 2009–10 tournament commenced on 14 August 2009 and concluded at Parc y Scarlets on 1 May 2010. Bangor City won the cup with a 3–2 win against Port Talbot Town.

The first election to the Cardiganshre County Council was held in January 1889. It was followed by the 1892 election.
