The Javan fulvetta (Alcippe pyrrhoptera) is a species of bird in the family Leiothrichidae. It is endemic to Indonesia.

Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.[ citation needed ] The species is monotypic: no subspecies are recognised. [2]
