Kings Cross station opened on 23 June 1979 when the Eastern Suburbs line opened from Central to Bondi Junction. [3] [4]
The station was upgraded in 2004 and received a lift and tactile indicators. In 2016, Kings Cross was refurbished with new tiling, tactile indicators and the platform walls repainted. [5]

Town Hall railway station is a heritage-listed underground commuter rail station located in the centre of the Sydney central business district in New South Wales, Australia. The station opened on 28 February 1932. It is named after the Sydney Town Hall, located directly above the station.
The Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line is a commuter railway line on the Sydney Trains network in the eastern and southern suburbs of Sydney. The line was constructed in the 1880s to Wollongong to take advantage of agricultural and mining potentials in the Illawarra area. In March 1926, it became the first railway in New South Wales to run electric train services.

The Eastern Suburbs Railway (ESR) is a commuter railway line in Sydney constructed in the 1970s.
