Krachi District is a former district that was located in Volta Region (now currently in Oti Region), Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly on 10 March 1989. However, on 4 August 2004, it was split off into two new districts: Krachi West District (capital: Kete Krachi) and Krachi East District (which it was elevated to municipal district assembly status on 15 March 2018; capital: Dambai). The district assembly was located in the northern part of Volta Region and had Kete Krachi as its capital town.
Kwadjokrom is a small town and is the capital of Sene District in the Bono Eat region of Ghana. Kwadjokrom is in the east of Bono East region, and is situated by Lake Volta. Kwadjokrom is connected by road highway to Ejura and Yeji. Kwadjokrom is connected by a ferry to the town of Kete Krachi.
Kete Krachi is the capital of the Krachi West District, in the western part of the Oti Region of Ghana, adjacent to Lake Volta. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly on 10 March 1989, which was created from the former Anlo District Council. However on 28 June 2012, it was split off into two new districts: Akatsi South District and Akatsi North District. The district assembly was located in the southeast part of Volta Region and had Akatsi as its capital town.

Originally created as an ordinary district assembly on 10 March 1989 when it was known as Kpando District, until the southern part of the district was split off by a decree of president John Agyekum Kufuor on 19 August 2004 to create South Dayi District; thus the remaining part has been retained as Kpando District. However on 28 June 2012, the southern part of the district was later split off to create North Dayi District on 28 June 2012; while the remaining part was elevated to municipal district assembly status on the same year to become Kpando Municipal District. The municipality is located in the western part of Volta Region and has Kpando as its capital town.

However on 28 June 2012, the northern part of the district was split off to create Krachi Nchumuru District, which was established by Legislative Instrument (L.I.) 2078; thus the remaining part has been retained as Krachi West District. The district assembly is located in the northern part of Oti Region and has Kete Krachi as its capital town.
Krachi East Municipal District is one of the eight districts in Oti Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Krachi District on 1988, until the eastern part of the district was split off to create Krachi East District on 19 August 2004, which was established by Legislative Instrument (L.I.) 1755; thus the remaining part has been renamed to become Krachi West District. However on 14 November 2017, it was later elevated to municipal district assembly status to become Krachi East Municipal District; which was established by Legislative Instrument (L.I.) 2281. The municipality is located in the northern part of Oti Region and has Dambai as its capital town.

He served as the Minister for Health from 1964 to 1965 and the Regional Commissioner for the Volta Region from 1965. He was also the member of parliament for the Buem-Krachi constituency from 1951 to 1954, the member of parliament for the Akan-Krachi constituency from 1954 to 1965 and the member of parliament for the Krachi constituency from 1965 to 1966.
