Liquor & Gaming NSW is an agency of the Government of New South Wales, that is part of the Customer Service cluster. Liquor and Gaming NSW is responsible for the development, implementation and integrity of the regulatory framework for liquor sales, licensed clubs, gaming activities and casino regulation in the state of New South Wales, Australia. [1]
The agency reports to the Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government.
Liquor and Gaming NSW also provides Secretariat services to the Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority, which determines licence applications and makes associated decisions, and exercises some decision-making delegations granted by the Authority.
The State Transit Authority of New South Wales, also referred to as State Transit, was an agency of the Government of New South Wales operating bus services in Sydney. Superseding the Urban Transit Authority in 1989, it was also responsible for the provision of ferry services in Sydney until 2004 and bus and ferry services in Newcastle until 2017. It ceased trading after 2 April 2022 with its remaining operations to be contracted out by Transport for NSW to replacement operators.

The New South Wales Department of the Arts, Sport and Recreation is a former department of the Government of New South Wales and was previously responsible for a number of cultural and sporting institutions. The Department was formed in February 2006 from the New South Wales Department of Gaming and Racing and the New South Wales Ministry of the Arts and parts of the New South Wales Department of Tourism, Sport and Recreation and was dissolved in 2009.
