Below is a list of California state and regional high school football champions sanctioned by the California Interscholastic Federation since the organization began holding state championship games in 2006. [1] High schools in the state are divided into four divisions (three prior to 2008) based roughly on enrollment; since 2008, there has also been an Open Division for which all schools are eligible. The NCAA Division II football championship is an American college football tournament played annually to determine a champion at the NCAA Division II level. It was first held in 1973, as a single-elimination playoff with eight teams. The tournament field has subsequently been expanded three times: to 16 teams in 1988, 24 teams in 2004, and 28 teams in 2016.

Ivan Charles Rabb Jr. is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the California Golden Bears. Growing up in California, he was named the top high school player in the state as a senior in 2015. He also received national recognition as an All-American. As a freshman with the Golden Bears, Rabb earned second-team all-conference honors in the Pac-12. He was named first-team All-Pac-12 as a sophomore before being selected in the second round of the 2017 NBA draft. He began his professional career playing two seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Allen Eagles Football team represents Allen High School in Texas high school football at the 6A Division 1 level in the Texas University Interscholastic League. Thirteen players from Allen have made their way to play professionally in the NFL. The Eagles play their home games at Eagle Stadium in Allen, Texas. Lee Wigington is the head coach and has served since 2022.
