Miss Earth is an annual international major beauty pageant based in the Philippines that advocates for environmental awareness, conservation and social responsibility. Along with Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss International, it is one of the Big Four beauty pageants.

Winfred Adah Omwakwe is a Kenyan model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Earth 2002, becoming the first black woman and first African to hold the title. Omwakwe is also the first Kenyan woman to hold a major international beauty pageant title. She originally placed as the first runner-up at Miss Earth, but ascended to the throne when the original winner Džejla Glavović was dethroned for failing to fulfill her duties.

Džejla Glavović is a Bosnian fashion model and beauty queen. She was crowned in the Philippines as the second Miss Earth representing her country Bosnia and Herzegovina and became the first Bosnian woman to win a major international title in beauty contest.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Miss Earth 2001</span> 1st Miss Earth pageant

Miss Earth 2001 is the first Miss Earth pageant, held at the University of the Philippines Theater in Quezon City, Philippines on 28 October 2001.

Miss Earth 2002, the 2nd edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held at Folk Arts Theater in Pasay, Philippines on October 20, 2002. In its second year, 53 delegates participated, exceeding the number of contestants in Miss International 2002, thereby becoming the world's third biggest international pageant in terms of number of contestants.

Miss Earth 2003 was the 3rd edition of the Miss Earth pageant, held on November 9, 2003, at the University of the Philippines Theater in Quezon City, Philippines. Fifty-seven delegates from all over the globe participated in the event. The pageant was broadcast live via ABS-CBN in the Philippines and to many countries worldwide via Star World, The Filipino Channel and other partner networks. Winfred Omwakwe from Kenya crowned her successor Dania Prince of Honduras the end of the event. Brazil's Pricila Zandona was selected Miss Air 2003, Costa Rica's Marianela Zeledon Bolanos was chosen Miss Water 2003, and Poland's Marta Matyjasik was Miss Fire 2003. The pageant was hosted by Television show host Ariel Ureta. The candidates were initially presented at the poolside of Hotel Intercontinental Manila in Makati on October 22, 2003.

Miss Earth China is an annual beauty pageant in China. The winner of this pageant goes to compete in the international Miss Earth pageant.

Miss Earth USA is an annual beauty pageant which selects the United States representative to Miss Earth which is an annual international beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness.

April Ross Lim Perez is a Filipina fashion model and beauty pageant titleholder. She competed in the second edition of the national Miss Philippines beauty pageant and was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2002.

Daniela Alejandra Stucan is an Argentine fashion model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned as Miss Earth Argentina 2001. She competed in the first edition of the international Miss Earth 2001 beauty pageant produced by Carousel Productions. She won the title of Miss Fire 2001.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Shamita Singha</span> Indian model

Shamita Singha is an Indian fashion model, television anchor, VJ and beauty pageant titleholder. She was crowned Femina Miss Earth India 2001 and later competed in Miss Earth 2001, where she was one of the semifinalists.

Miss Earth Nigeria is an annual national beauty pageant in Nigeria to select its representative to the international Miss Earth pageant. The pageant, with the theme "Beauties for a Cause" is organized by AMC Productions, and began sending representatives to Miss Earth a year after the international pageant was established in 2001. Nigeria has achieved six placements in Miss Earth.

Miss Earth Ecuador is one of the official preliminaries to the international Miss Earth beauty pageant, which was established in the Philippines in 2001. The pageant focuses mainly on promoting environmental causes and winners are chosen equally on their physical attributes as well as their understanding and knowledge of the issues affecting the Earth.

Miss Earth Jamaica is an annual national beauty pageant to select a delegate to represent Jamaica at the international Miss Earth pageant. The current Miss Earth Jamaica is Catherine Harris who was crowned on September 23, 2020.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Catharina Choi Nunes</span> South Korean showhost (born 1990)

Catharina Choi Nunes, also known by her Korean name Choi Song-ee, is a South Korean-Brazilian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned both Miss Earth Korea 2013 and Miss Brazil World 2015. She represented Korea at Miss Earth 2013, placing as the third runner-up, and Brazil at Miss World 2015, placing in the top twenty.
