This is a list of Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) managers, in order of the date of their appointment. The SPFL has 42 member clubs and is split into four divisions; the Premiership (12 clubs), the Championship (10), League One (10), and League Two (10).

James Michael Nicholl is a Northern Irish former professional footballer who played for several clubs, including Manchester United and Rangers. He was mainly a right-back but could also play in other defensive roles. Nicholl won a total of 73 international caps for Northern Ireland, scoring one goal.

John McGlynn is a Scottish football coach and former player who manages Scottish Championship club Falkirk. He has previously managed Scottish clubs Raith Rovers, Heart of Midlothian and Livingston.

Liam Fox is a Scottish professional football coach and former player, who is currently an assistant first team coach at Scottish Premiership club Heart of Midlothian. He has previously held the roles of Hearts B manager, as well as caretaker manager of the Hearts first team.

Daniel Joseph Lennon is a Scottish football manager and former player, who was most recently the manager of Scottish League One club Clyde.

The 2016–17 season was Hibernian's (Hibs) third season of play in the second tier of Scottish football the Scottish Championship, since they were relegated from the Scottish Premiership at the end of the 2013–14 season. Hibs also competed in the Europa League, Challenge Cup, League Cup and they defended the Scottish Cup after winning the 2016 final.

The 2020–21 Scottish Premiership was the eighth season of the Scottish Premiership, the 124th edition of the highest division of Scottish football. The fixtures were published on 6 July 2020, with the season beginning on 1 August, following Scottish Government approval due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Scotland.

The 2021–22 season was Hibernian's (Hibs) fifth season of play back in the top league of Scottish football, having been promoted from the Scottish Championship at the end of the 2016–17 season. Hibs lost 2–1 to Celtic in the League Cup final and by the same score to Hearts in a Scottish Cup semi-final. Earlier in the season they participated in the inaugural edition of the UEFA Europa Conference League, losing to Croatian side HNK Rijeka.

The 2021–22 Aberdeen F.C. season is Aberdeen's 109th season in the top flight of Scottish football and the ninth in the Scottish Premiership. Aberdeen competed in the Scottish Cup, the League Cup and in qualifying for the inaugural season of 2021–22 UEFA Europa Conference League.

The 2022–23 season was the 126th season of competitive football in Scotland. The domestic season began on 9 July 2022 with the first Scottish League Cup group stage matches, and the first round of matches in the 2022–23 Scottish Premiership were played on 30 July.

The 2022–23 Scottish League One was the tenth season of Scottish League One, the third tier of Scottish football.

The 2022–23 season was the 142nd season of competitive football by Heart of Midlothian. It was the club's second season of play back in the top tier of Scottish football.

The 2022–23 season was Arbroath's fourth consecutive season in the Scottish Championship, following their promotion from Scottish League One in the 2018–19 season. Arbroath also competed in the Scottish League Cup, Scottish Challenge Cup and the Scottish Cup.
