  1. Certain award groups do not simply award one winner. They acknowledge several different recipients, have runners-up, and have third place. Since this is a specific recognition and is different from losing an award, runner-up mentions are considered wins in this award tally. For simplification and to avoid errors, each award in this list has been presumed to have had a prior nomination.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs released their debut EP, Yeah Yeah Yeahs (2000), to critical praise but limited success. They were pushed into the public eye with their debut album, Fever to Tell (2003), which received nominations for the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album and the Shortlist Music Prize. Fever to Tell earned gold certifications in the United States and United Kingdom, [2] [3] aided by the single "Maps" which was nominated for four MTV Video Music Awards. They received two more Best Alternative Music Album nominations for their second and third albums, Show Your Bones (2006) and It's Blitz! (2009). It's Blitz! also received attention for its single "Heads Will Roll".

Yeah Yeah Yeahs achieved their highest-charting album in the US with their fourth album, Mosquito (2014), before going on hiatus. [4] They returned in 2017, and their fifth album, Cool It Down (2022), earned the band two nominations at the Grammy Awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Alternative Music Performance.
