This is a list of entertainment events at Canada Life Centre (formerly the MTS Centre, then Bell MTS Place) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, including concerts and other non-sport entertainment events.

Contents

The Canada Life Centre is one of the busiest venues in North America since its opening in 2004. [1] In 2008, it was placed 19th busiest arena in the world and 11th in North America, with 385,427 tickets (not including sporting events). [2] In 2009, it ranked as the 39th busiest arena in the world, and 26th busiest in North America. [3]

Aside from hockey, TNSE is also involved in real estate with True North Square, and are active in bringing concerts and other acts to Winnipeg.

Mark Chipman, is a Canadian hockey executive, businessman, and lawyer. Chipman is best known as the chairman of True North Sports & Entertainment, which owns the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League and Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is also the team's governor and currently a member of the National Hockey League Board of Governors' Executive Committee.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">U Sports women's basketball</span> University womens basketball

U Sports women's basketball is the highest level of play of women's basketball at the university level under the auspices of U Sports, Canada's governing body for university sports. There are 48 teams, all of which are based in Canada, that are divided into four conferences that are eligible to compete for the year-end championship. As these players compete at the university level, they are obligated to follow the rule of standard eligibility of five years. The winning team of the U Sports women's basketball championship is awarded the Bronze Baby trophy. The championship has been played for since 1972, with the UBC Thunderettes capturing the inaugural championship.
