He is also a politician and a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Government of West Bengal. He was born on 2 November 1950 at Kolkata. He has got the BFJA Award for his film Abaidha in 2002. The film was directed by Gul Bahar Singh.

Anwar Hossain was a Bangladeshi actor, best known for playing the role of Siraj ud-Daulah in the Bengali film Nawab Sirajuddaula (1967). He appeared in nearly 500 movies in his 50-year career. He is often referred as The Uncrowned Nawab of Bengali films. He received the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor for his role in the film Lathial (1975) and Best Supporting Actor awards for the films again for Golapi Ekhon Traine (1978) and Dayi Ke? (1987).

Gazi Mazharul Anwar was a Bangladeshi film director, producer, lyricist, screenwriter and music director. He earned the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Lyricist a record seven times for the films Tit for Tat (1992), Ajante (1996), Churiwala (2001), Lal Dariya (2002), Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti (2003), Meyeti Ekhon Kothay Jabe (2016) and Joiboti Konyar Mon (2021). Anuradha Roy is an Indian actress who is recognized for her work in Bengali cinema. She made her film debut with Ajoy Bandopadhyay's horror drama Karoti (1988). She is best known for her role in Utsab (2000) directed by Rituparno Ghosh and Bengali TV serial Rajeshwari where she played Rani Rashmoni

Alauddin Ali was a Bangladeshi music composer. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Director five times for the films Golapi Ekhon Traine (1978), Sundori (1979), Koshai (1980), Jogajog (1988) and Lakhe Ekta (1990). He won the Best Music Composer award for the film Laal Doriya (2002) and the Best Lyrics award for Premik (1985). Moreover, he won the Ifad Film Club Award and the Bachsas Award in the category of Best Music Director. He directed music for more than 300 films.

Masum Babul was a Bangladeshi film dance director and choreographer. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Choreography twice, for the film Dola (1993) and Ki Jadu Karila (2008). He is also best known for the films Beder Meye Josna (1989), Koti Takar Kabin (2006), and Bikkhov (1994). Babul died on 6 March 2023, at age 60.

It premiered on 12 April 2021 and stars Annwesha Hazra and Writwik Mukherjee. The series is produced by Crazy Ideas Media.
