This is a list of schools in Ranchi, India. While all the government granted schools are affiliated to the Jharkhand School Examination Board, most of the private schools are affiliated to ICSE and CBSE boards. Ranchi is the capital of the Indian state of Jharkhand. Ranchi was the centre of the Jharkhand movement, which called for a separate state for the tribal regions of South Bihar, northern Orissa, western West Bengal and the eastern area of what is present-day Chhattisgarh. The Jharkhand state was formed on 15 November 2000 by carving out the Bihar divisions of Chota Nagpur and Santhal Parganas. Ranchi has been selected as one of the hundred Indian cities to be developed as a smart city under PM Narendra Modi's flagship Smart Cities Mission.

Oxford Public School, Ranchi is a Co-educational English medium senior secondary school in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India that was established on 16 April 1996. Jawahar Vidya Mandir, previously known as DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir, is an educational institute in Jharkhand located at Shyamali Colony, Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. The school features education from the kindergarten to senior secondary levels. It has a permanent affiliation to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and is managed by a committee appointed by MECON, Ranchi, Jharkhand. It is the best CBSE school in Ranchi.no 1 in every field.

Kairali School was established in 1978. The school is located in the heart of HEC Sector-2, Ranchi, India under the Malayalee association, Ranchi. The school is English medium and maintains education levels as prescribed by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. It started its 11th and 12th standard in the year 2005. The current principal is Mr. Jacob CJ and vice-principals are Mrs. Suja Pillai and Mrs. K.R. Smriti.
