The Wisconsin Supreme Court election of 2011 took place on Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Unlike past elections for the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the race between 12-year incumbent David Prosser, Jr. and challenger Assistant Attorney General JoAnne Kloppenburg gained significant nationwide publicity as it was widely seen as a referendum on Governor Scott Walker's proposed budget reforms in Wisconsin, and a part of the 2011 Wisconsin protests.

Denoon, DeNoon or De Noon was a village established by James DeNoon Reymert in 1852, straddling the county line between Waukesha County, Wisconsin, and Racine counties, 15 miles southeast of Waukesha, in range 20 E. of the towns of Muskego and Norway, on the shore of Lake Denoon. It was on the plank road between Milwaukee and Rochester, which Reymert is generally credited with getting built.

Adam E. Ray was an American farmer politician from Troy, Wisconsin who served several terms in the Legislature of Wisconsin Territory, and a single term in 1851 as a Free Soil Party member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from Walworth County.

Patrick Henry Ray, was a brigadier general in the United States Army. His father, Adam E. Ray, was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly. An uncle, George Augustus Ray, was also a member. On April 22, 1889, Ray married Ada Blackman.

Thomas Sugden was an English American immigrant, farmer, and Wisconsin pioneer. He served three terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Waukesha County. Originally a Whig, he became an active member of the new Republican Party when it was organized in Wisconsin.
