Chester County is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is located in the Delaware Valley region, located in the southeastern part of the state. As of the 2020 census, the population was 534,413, increasing by 7.1% from 498,886 in 2010. The county seat and most populated municipality is West Chester. Chester County was one of the three original Pennsylvania counties created by William Penn in 1682. It was named for Chester, England.

It is located at the crossroads of Chester County at the intersection of U.S. Route 30 Business and Pennsylvania Route 100. The Zook House, also known as the William and Elizabeth Owen House, built in 1750, is a historic single-family dwelling located near Exton, Pennsylvania on the property of the Exton Square Mall, on the north side of U.S. Route 30 Business. It was first listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 1, 1976, following renovations. In 1984 a boundary increase was also listed on the National Register. In 1998 the house was moved about 300 feet to the southwest due to an expansion of the shopping mall. On July 27, 2000, the house was re-listed on the National Register, even though it remains listed on the Register at its old address.
White Horse Farm, also known as the Elijah F. Pennypacker House, is a historic home and farm located in Schuylkill Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The original section was built around 1770. In the 19th century, it was the home of abolitionist Elijah F. Pennypacker and served as a station on the Underground Railroad. The farm was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
John Brown Farm, Tannery & Museum, 17620 John Brown Rd., Guys Mills, PA 16327, is a historic archaeological site located in Richmond Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania. The tannery was built in 1825 by famed abolitionist John Brown (1800–1859), who lived on the site from 1825 to 1835. The tannery was about 0.25 miles (0.40 km) from the new Pennsylvania and Ohio Canal.

One of the historic properties included within the Battle of the Clouds Historic District, it was erected in 1782 by Quaker farmer David Ashbridge. Exton Hotel, also known as Exton House and Ship Station, is a historic hotel located in West Whiteland Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1859, and is a three-story, five-bay, stuccoed-stone building with a full-width porch in the Italianate style. It has a one-story addition. For several years it housed a ticket office for the adjacent Chester Valley Railroad.

Ivy Cottage is a historic residence located in Exton, a census-designated place in West Whiteland Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Built in 1799 by politician and soldier Richard Thomas, the cottage started out as a plain stone farmhouse in the double-door Georgian style. It underwent extensive renovations and embellishments in the Queen Anne style in 1881 followed by an award-winning restoration in 2019. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 9, 2018.
