Long Island is an island in the Kennebecasis River near Rothesay, New Brunswick, Canada. The island is accessible by boat during warm months and by crossing the ice in the winter.

Nature preserves

The island contains two nature preserves: Minister's Face Nature Preserve and Rayworth Beach Nature Preserve.

The park cooperates with other agencies to manage the adjoining Glacial Grooves State Memorial, a set of rare glacial grooves, North Shore Alvar State Natural Area, a rare alvar habitat, and the North Pond State Nature Preserve, a lake embayment usually separated from the lake by a sand bar.

Little Talbot Island State Park is a Florida State Park located on Little Talbot Island, 17 miles (27 km) northeast of Jacksonville on State Road A1A. The park covers the entire 2,500-acre (10 km2) island. Big Talbot Island State Park lies to the immediate north. The park contains maritime forests, dunes, and salt marshes on the western side of the island. Wild life includes river otters, marsh rabbits, bobcats, and a variety of native and migrating birds. Activities include camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, canoeing, nature watching and surfing. Erosion on Big Talbot Island, coupled with sand deposition on Little Talbot, have resulted in Little Talbot Island becoming the larger of the two Talbot Islands. The largest continuous section of the Machaba Balu Preserve lies just to the west of Little Talbot Island.

The program was formerly known as the "Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission", from 1976 until a reorganization in 2018.

Yellow Island, one of the San Juan Islands, is an 11-acre (4.5 ha) island, located south-west of Orcas Island, and north of Shaw Island, near Jones Island State Park, in San Juan County, Washington, United States. The island is home to a wide array of flora and fauna, including over 50 species of wildflowers, bald eagles, harbor seals, black oystercatchers, and harlequin ducks. The island was purchased in 1979 by The Nature Conservancy, and is administered as a nature preserve.

Long Pond Park is a park preserve on the South Shore of Staten Island, New York City. It is approximately 115 acres (0.47 km2) in size and consists mainly of woodlands and wetlands that surround Long Pond, for which the park is named. Long Pond Park is roughly bounded by Hylan Boulevard on the south, Page Avenue on the west, Amboy Road on the north, and Richard Avenue on the east. It is an important stopping point for migrating birds in the Atlantic Flyway.

Mark's and Jack's Island Natural Area Preserve is a 2,000-acre (8.1 km2) Natural Area Preserve located in Accomack County, Virginia. The preserve supports Chesapeake Bay beach habitat, as well as various types of marsh, shrub, and forest vegetation. Many species of birds can be found in the preserve's wetlands, and numerous plant species live in the marsh, including marsh-elder. Loblolly pine and black cherry may be seen along the tops of some old dunes. The beaches provide a home for the northeastern beach tiger beetle.

Parramore Island Natural Area Preserve is a 7,000-acre (28 km2) Natural Area Preserve located in Accomack County, Virginia, United States. Located on one of the barrier islands along the Atlantic Ocean, it is the state's largest Natural Area Preserve. More than 7.5 miles (12.1 km) long, it features a number of beaches, dunes, scrubs, marshes, and natural communities.
