Marius Vasile Cozmiuc (born 7 September 1992) is a Romanian rower. A 2022 World Champion in the coxless pair, Cozmiuc competed in a coxless four at the 2016 Summer Olympics [2] and won a silver medal in the coxless pair at Tokyo 2020. He married fellow Olympic rower Ionela-Livia Cozmiuc in 2017. [3]

In 2012 an 2014 he set two world best times in the coxless pair and coxed pair respectively, which as of 2021 still stand as the world's best in those boat classes.

He won the silver medal in the quadruple sculls at the 2012 Summer Olympics with his brother, David Šain and Damir Martin. She and her partner Heather Stanning were the World, Olympic, World Cup and European record holders, plus the Olympic, World and European champions in the women's coxless pairs. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, he competed with the eight and won gold in the same boat class at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Murray has won four consecutive premier national titles in the coxless pair. Mădălina Bereș is a Romanian rower. She won the bronze medal in the women's eight at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She is also a three-time world champion in eight and ten-time European champion, including titles in eight, coxless pair and coxless four. Bereș is the older sister of fellow rower Amalia Bereș.

Romania competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris from 26 July to 11 August 2024, celebrating the centenary of the team's official debut in the same venue. Although the nation's participation started in 1900, Romanian athletes have appeared in every edition of the Summer Olympic Games from 1924 onwards, except for two occasions: the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles during the period of the worldwide Great Depression, and the 1948 Summer Olympics in London because of the nation's role in World War II.
