Minister Plenipotentiary of the Netherlands Antilles

The minister plenipotentiary of the Netherlands Antilles (Dutch : Gevolmachtigd Minister van de Nederlandse Antillen) represented the constituent country of the Netherlands Antilles in the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. [1] The minister plenipotentiary at the 2010 dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles was Marcel van der Plank. [2] The minister plenipotentiary and his cabinet were seated in the "Antillenhuis" (Antilles House) in The Hague. [3]

Marcel van der Plank was the Minister Plenipotentiary of the Netherlands Antilles, until its dissolution in 2010. He was appointed in 2009, and succeeded Paul Comenencia, who stepped down after being appointed Consul General in Rio de Janeiro.

Pedro José Atacho is a Curaçaoan politician. He was a member of the Party for the Restructured Antilles. During his political career he was Minister of Justice of the Netherlands Antilles from 1994 to 1998. He served in the Estates of the Netherlands Antilles, including a period as Speaker between 2007 and 2010. After the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles in 2010 Atacho became a member of the Estates of Curaçao.

The Minister Plenipotentiary of Suriname represented the constituent country of Suriname in the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It has existed from 1954 until the Independence of Suriname on 25 November 1975.

Raymond Henri Pos was a Surinamese diplomat and lawyer. He served as first Minister Plenipotentiary of Suriname from 29 December 1954 until 1 August 1963. Subsequently, he was appointed Dutch Ambassador of Cuba. Pos played a major role in the creation of the 1954 Charter for the Kingdom of the Netherlands which established the political relationship between the Netherlands and its former colonies.
