Miss Earth Republic of the Congo is the official title given to the Republic of the Congo's delegate to the Miss Earth pageant. The reigning titleholders dedicate their year to promote environmental projects and to address issues concerning the environment.

History

In 2007, the Miss Earth Rep of the Congo franchise was obtained by Beauties of Africa Inc, owned by Andy Abulime.

The Republic of the Congo sent a representative to Miss Earth for the first time in 2008. [1] The country was first represented by Katissia Christy Kouta, who won Miss Congo 2007, [2] she competed in Miss Earth 2008. [3] [4]

Miss Earth Organization, annual environmental awareness-themed international beauty competition

Miss Earth is an annual international environmental-themed beauty pageant competition promoting environmental awareness, conservation and social responsibility affiliated and supported by the United Nations Environment Programme. The contest is the third largest beauty pageant in the world in terms of the number of national-level competitions to participate in the world finals. Along with Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss International, the competition is one of the Big Four international beauty pageants — the most coveted beauty titles among all the international pageant competitions.

Miss Puerto Rico is a national Beauty pageant in Puerto Rico. Currently, there are two separate televised pageants held annually: Miss Universe Puerto Rico to select the representative for Miss Universe and Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico to select the representatives for Miss World and Miss Earth. Additionally, the Miss Puerto Rico Scholarship Organization selects the representative for Miss America.

Džejla Glavović is a Bosnian fashion model and beauty queen. She was crowned in the Philippines as the second Miss Earth representing her country Bosnia and Herzegovina and became the first Bosnian woman to win a major international title in beauty contest.

Miss World 2007 beauty pageant edition

Miss World 2007, the 57th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 1 December 2007 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. It was hosted by Fernando Allende and Angela Chow. Zhang Zilin of China won the crown and succeeded Taťána Kuchařová of the Czech Republic.

Miss Earth 2001

Miss Earth 2001 was the first edition of Miss Earth pageant, organized by Carousel Productions. The pageant coronation night was held on 28 October 2001 at the University of the Philippines Theater in Quezon City, Philippines. There were 42 delegates who competed in the pageant that focuses on environmental issues. Catharina Svensson of Denmark, a professional equestrienne, fashion model, and third year law student, was crowned as the pageant's first winner.

Miss Earth 2002

Miss Earth 2002, the 2nd edition of Miss Earth pageant, was held at Folk Arts Theater in Pasay, Philippines on 29 October 2002. In its second year, 53 delegates participated, exceeding the number of contestants in Miss International 2002, thereby becoming the world's third biggest international pageant in terms of number of contestants.

Miss Earth 2003

Miss Earth 2003, the third edition of Miss Earth pageant, was held on November 9, 2003 at the University of the Philippines Theater in Quezon City, Philippines. Fifty-seven delegates from all over the globe participated in the event. The pageant was broadcast live via ABS-CBN in the Philippines and to many countries worldwide via Star World, The Filipino Channel and other partner networks. At the conclusion of the final night of the competition, outgoing titleholder Miss Earth 2002, Winfred Omwakwe from Kenya crowned her successor Dania Prince of Honduras. Brazil's Pricila Zandona was selected Miss Air 2003, Costa Rica's Marianela Zeledon Bolanos was chosen Miss Water 2003, and Poland's Marta Matyjasik was Miss Fire 2003. The pageant was hosted by Television show host Ariel Ureta. The candidates were initially presented at the poolside of Hotel Intercontinental Manila in Makati City on October 22, 2003.

Miss Earth 2007

Miss Earth 2007, the seventh Miss Earth pageant, was held on 11 November 2007 at the University of the Philippines Theater, inside the campus of the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City, Philippines. The delegates also visited Nha Trang, Vietnam. 88 delegates competed for the title, making 2007 the largest edition of delegates for Miss Earth. The pageant was hosted by MTV Asia VJ Greg Uttsada Panichkul, Priscilla Meirelles and Ginger Conejero. Miss Earth 2006, Hil Hernández from Chile, crowned her successor Jessica Trisko from Canada.

Amy Diaz American model

Amy Diaz is an American actress, model and beauty pageant titleholder who competed in the Miss USA 2008 and Miss Earth United States 2009. She is from Providence, Rhode Island. Diaz, along with her husband Jason Case, won the twenty-third installment of the U.S. reality television show The Amazing Race.

Beauty for a Cause is the slogan of the Miss Earth beauty pageant adopted since the pageant's inception in 2001. It empowers the contestants to work with an environmental advocacy that is personally significant to them. The first Beauty for a Cause prize was awarded in 2003.

Miss Earth 2008

Miss Earth 2008, the eighth edition of Miss Earth pageant, was held on 9 November 2008 at the Clark Expo Amphitheater in Angeles, Pampanga, Philippines. Eighty-five delegates arrived from 19 October 2008 in Philippines. The pageant was broadcast live via ABS-CBN and coverage since on Studio 23 in the Philippines and other stations throughout the world.

Miss Earth 2009

Miss Earth 2009, the ninth edition of Miss Earth pageant, was held on 22 November 2009 at the Boracay Ecovillage Resort and Convention Center in Boracay, Malay, Aklan, Philippines. Karla Henry of the Philippines crowned her successor Larissa Ramos of Brazil at the end of the event.

Miss Earth Democratic Republic of the Congo(Miss Earth DR Congo) is the official title given to Democratic Republic of the Congo's delegate to the Miss Earth pageant. This pageant, unlike Miss World or Miss Universe focuses mainly on promoting environmental causes and winners are chosen equally on their physical attributes as well as their understanding and knowledge of the issues affecting the Earth.

Miss Queen Portugal is a national beauty pageant in Portugal. It is responsible for selecting the country's representative to Miss Earth, which is an annual international beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness.

This is a list of Vietnam's representatives and their placements at the Big Four international beauty pageants, the four largest and most famous international beauty contests for single or unmarried women. Vietnam sent its first delegate to Miss International in 1995, Miss World in 2002, Miss Earth in 2003 and Miss Universe in 2004.
