Mobile International Speedway is a 1/2-mile paved oval track along U.S. Highway 90 in Irvington, Mobile County, Alabama, United States. It was built by Walter "Skip" Wetjen, [1] [2] [3] and opened in 1965.
During the golden age of stock car racing, the track held races with the likes of Gene Tapia, Wayne Niedecken Sr., Phil Wendt, [4] [5] [6] and other NASCAR drivers. [7] Longtime stock car driver Red Farmer won his 500th feature race at the track. [8]
From 1966 to 1968 the track hosted open-wheel racing and held the annual World 300 race for Supermodified racing, which attracted competitors that included notable drivers such as Bobby Allison, [9] [10] Dale Hammac [11] and Armond Holley. [12]
In the 1980s, the track hosted races sanctioned by All Pro Stock, ASA, NASCAR Grand American, NASCAR All-American Challenge Series, and NASCAR All Pro Stock Car. They included drivers Donnie Allison, Rusty Wallace, Dave Mader III, Ronnie Sanders, [13] Mike Cope, [14] Freddy Fryar, [15] Junior Niedecken, [16] Jody Ridley [17] and others. [18] [19] [20]
More recently, the track has been home to a number of rising NASCAR and ARCA drivers including Rick Crawford, Kevin Swindell (a development driver for Ray Evernham), [21] Bubba Pollard (of Roush Racing: Driver X), Cale Gale and Grant Enfinger. Kevin Swindell holds the all-time track record. [22]
The ARCA Menards Series held the ARCA Mobile 200 at the track from 2012 to 2015, all of them won by local drivers: 1 win for Cale Gale and 3 for Enfinger. The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East held the Mobile 150 there in 2016. Also, the NASCAR Southeast Series hosted 9 races at Mobile International Speedway, between 1991 and 2001.
The CARS Hooters Pro Cup Series also had run three races at the facility, between 1998 and 1999.

The ARCA Menards Series is an American stock car series, the premier division of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). It is considered a minor, semi-professional league of stock car racing, used as a feeder series into the three national touring series of NASCAR, and hosts events at a variety of track types including superspeedways, road courses, and dirt tracks. It also provides hobby drivers a chance to experience racing at large tracks used in the three national touring series in NASCAR. The series has had a longstanding relationship with NASCAR, including using former NASCAR Cup Series cars, hosting events in the same race weekend such as Daytona Speedweeks, and naming an award after NASCAR founder Bill France, Sr. However, the series was not officially affiliated with NASCAR until its buyout on April 27, 2018.
Timothy Tyler Andrew Walker is an American professional stock car racing driver. Walker is one of many racers who have competed in many inter-disciplinary automotive ranks. His automotive exploits include cycling competition, open-wheeled sprint cars, where has obtained a large majority of his success and notoriety, as well as being a stock car pilot, formerly competing in the prestigious NASCAR ranks. The first fourth-generation driver to compete in NASCAR since the late Adam Petty, Walker is but one member of a racing legacy.
Concord Speedway was a motorsports facility located in the town of Midland, North Carolina, southeast of Concord, North Carolina. The complex featured a 1⁄2-mile asphalt tri-oval and a 1⁄4-mile asphalt oval.
The Jukasa Motor Speedway was an auto racing track located near Cayuga in Haldimand County, Ontario, Canada.
Delaware Speedway is a half-mile paved race track that is one of the oldest continuously operating tracks in Canada. It is located a few minutes west of London, Ontario northeast of Delaware, Ontario. It hosts stock car racing every Friday night during the summer. The track opened in 1952 as a quarter-mile dirt track that was paved in 1960. In August 1969, the track was expanded to a 1/2 mile paved oval and continues today.
The Oswego Speedway is a 5/8 mile race track in Oswego, New York. It was built in 1951 and was paved with asphalt since the 1952. The track has held dates on several national tours - the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, ASA National Tour, and USAC Silver Crown Series. Since 2016, it is temporarily covered with dirt at the end of the season in September to host Super DIRT Week, featuring the Syracuse 200 Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds. The track is the Labor Day Weekend home of the 200-lap, non-wing, big-block supermodified Budweiser Classic and Race of Champions.
Scott Alan Stenzel is an American professional stock car racing driver. He raced in the FASCAR league as a teenager and later raced in the ARCA Re/Max Series, before making his NASCAR debut in 2010. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, driving the No. 63 Chevrolet Silverado for Copp Motorsports and the No. 34 Silverado for Reaume Brothers Racing.
The Atlas 100 is an ARCA Racing Series stock car race held annually on the Illinois State Fairgrounds Racetrack during the Illinois State Fair.
Canfield Speedway is a half mile dirt oval racetrack that hosted (major) sanctioned auto racing from 1950 to 1964, but other associations ran until the late 1970s. There was also a 1/4 mile dirt racing surface that shared the front stretch with the 1/2 mile track. It was used until the track was closed to auto racing in 1973. Attendance varied from 30,000 people for larger events to 10,000 people for ones of less significance. The track is located at the Canfield Fairgrounds in Canfield, Ohio, and is still in use today, primarily during the Canfield Fair.
The Rust-Oleum Automotive Finishes 100 is an ARCA Menards Series stock car race held annually on the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds Racetrack during the DuQuoin State Fair on Labor Day weekend.
Grant McArthur Enfinger is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 23 Chevrolet Silverado for GMS Racing, part-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Legacy Motor Club, and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 97 Chevrolet SS for CR7 Motorsports. Before moving up to the Truck Series, Enfinger won the 2015 ARCA Racing Series series championship with GMS Racing.
Cody Lane is an American professional stock car racing driver. He currently competes part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 27 Chevrolet Camaro for the Cody Lane Racing. He has also competed in the ARCA Racing Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
Kevin Swindell is an American racing driver and entrepreneur, who has competed in USAC and NASCAR competition. He has won 77 races in various dirt racing series including the Chili Bowl Nationals. Swindell is the son of three time World of Outlaws Sprint Car champion Sammy Swindell. Swindell owns and operates Swindell Speedlab, a clothing brand as well as Victory Fuel, a brand of flavored water.
GMS Racing is an American professional stock car racing team that competes in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, fielding three Chevrolet Silverado trucks: the No. 23 for Grant Enfinger, the No. 24 for Rajah Caruth, and the No. 43 for Daniel Dye.
The 2015 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards was the 63rd season of the ARCA Racing Series. The season began on February 14 with the Lucas Oil 200 presented by Autozone and ended October 16 with the Full Throttle S'loonshine 98.9.
Lira Motorsports is an American professional stock car racing team that competes in the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series East. Owned by Carlos and Amanda Lira, the team made its debut in the ARCA Menards Series in 2015, fielding multiple cars and drivers throughout the year. The team made its Camping World Truck Series debut on November 20, 2015 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Lira Motorsports also fields cars in NASCAR Whelen All-American Late Model Series competition. Lira Motorsports is a driver development satellite team for Roush Fenway Racing.
David Levine is an American professional stock car racing driver. He has driven in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and ARCA Racing Series.
Mason Mitchell is an American professional stock car racing driver and team owner. He competed in the ARCA Racing Series as an owner/driver, driving the No. 98 for Mason Mitchell Motorsports. He is the 2014 ARCA Racing Series champion.
Cunningham Motorsports was an American professional stock car racing team that competed primarily in the ARCA Racing Series, but also in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and Busch Series. At various points, the team had driver development links to Dodge, Ganassi Racing Team Penske and Roush Fenway Racing, and won the 2016 ARCA Racing Series championship with Stewart-Haas Racing driver Chase Briscoe. After 2017, the team was sold to crew chief Chad Bryant, which currently fields the Nos. 22 and 77 in ARCA competition.
Christian Donald Eckes is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 19 Chevrolet Silverado for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. Eckes is the 2019 ARCA Menards Series champion, won the Snowball Derby in 2016, and was formerly a development driver for JR Motorsports and later Toyota.
